The Flavor of Courage
There once was a little, pink ghost named Fantasma. Now as a ghost, you'd think little Fantasma would be void to fear and out playing ghoulish tricks on unsuspecting victims...But if given the opportunity to wisp around a haunted mansion, Fantasma would be the first to screech outside the door! Little Fantasma was a scaredy cat (well, ghost) through and through...but he was also the sweetest little ghoul you'd ever want to meet. Sweeter than chocolate in fact.

Quick Spiced Vegan Shortbread
Of course, you probably know me very well for invading Vocal with my film studies stuff and articles entitled ‘a filmmaker’s guide’. I have often explained that I love to bake as well. Since I was young, I have loved the idea, the creativity and the relaxation of baking different things. I love to make macarons, layer cakes and gingerbread in particular and the activity of it really gets me away from my laptop (where I’m sure you know that I spend most of my life). So, I hope you enjoy me talking about what I bake and why I bake it complete with pictures (if not very good) of me actually baking, my baked goods in the process of being created and when they’re finished. I’m really happy to share this with you. And if you like, you can show me your baking (yes, I spend a lot of time writing, but I also spend a lot of time reading other people’s articles!), I would love to see it. Since I was in school, I was always interested in creating things, whether that be pieces of writing, welding things to make small statues or baking foods and making sweets (candy, if you’re American). I hope you enjoy looking at some of the stuff that has honestly kept me sane, because I seem to be going slightly mad.

The Pumpkin Chilli Story
Pumpkin picking is one of my favourite autumn activities. It is such great fun to walk around a farm with a wheelbarrow, get muddy and pick some tasty seasonal goodies. My local farm is always filled with families and kids running around and having so much fun whilst they compete on who can pick the heaviest pumpkin. I love it when the field is full of huge pumpkins, it looks like somebody just dropped them from the heaven and forgot about them.

THE BEST HOLLOWEEN PARTY YOU WILL EVER HAVE
Halloween is a time to celebrate with your children, friends, and family. This year because of COVID19 it is best to stay home and have a party. The best part of a Halloween party is to dress up and eat great food. Have your guests dress up and have a contest for the best-dressed custom. Put on some music and dance the night away. Musical chairs is a great game, the children would love to play. Pin the tail on the donkey is another old game to play. Hand a prize to the person who put the tail pined on the donkey. Bobbing for apples is another game and the children will have fun. Making trick or treat bags will make everyone happy, they will love you for it.

Baked Ziti with Vegetables and Apple Pie with Streusel Topping
I had this at a friends house one night and couldn't get it out of my mind! Everything in every bite is like mouth watering luxury. It's almost a shame to swallow because that was how much I wanted to savor it. With a little red wine of your choice, oh yeah, it's heaven on a plate!

Blue Cheese Cheesecake
The birth of this idea came when I was working 12 hour days in my Pilates studio in NYC and needed wine to release my tension, so I frequented my friend's wine bar, Casalulla, in midtown west Manhattan. I had a wine trade, meaning we bartered Pilates for wine, and it worked out beautifully.

Old-Time Chocolate Tea
I’d be lying if I said I have a traditional fall recipe that I make every year during the season. I grew up in a country where it felt like summer all year round, and the leaves didn’t become more visually appealing during autumn for the perfect photo backdrop.

Spiced Halloween Cheesecake Recipe That is Scary Delicious
The unrelenting march of pumpkin spice season treads on. First, it came for the coffee shops, then our hearts. Now as I write this on October 25th, it has conquered the grocery store, recipe websites, and even merchandise such as t-shirts and pillows. Considered the most trendy flavour of fall, the pumpkin spice is both famous and infamous.

Soul Cakes: Simple, Historic & Warming
I was twenty years old when I ate my first soul cake. It was Halloween, and I was visiting the grandmother of my then partner. Her family were staunch Catholics, whilst I was raised a Protestant, in the Church of England (C of E). Well, I say 'raised' - unless we actively practice another religion, the English are all fairly much C of E by default whether we regularly attend church or not.
