Summertime Stew
Summertime for my family means lots of time outside, in nature, camping from the back of our minivan, and sleeping out under the stars with our only cooking vessel being the thing that gives us s'mores and toasted hotdogs for snacks: the campfire. Cooking over the campfire in a big cast iron pot some stew or soup is a staple for dinner in my household while camping because it allows us to make some quick snacks during the day still while having a hearty meal that evening.

SUMMER of FOOD LOVE
Sunshine, loud music, laughter, water play, and FOOD….it is Summer time! Now I am not sure where you are from, but this Seattle girl LOVES summer. Western Washington does not get many warm sunny days, but when we do…IT IS MAGICAL. The mountains are out soaking up the sun for all the wildlife. The waters are piercing blue with a nice breeze, and the happiness on people’s faces is priceless, for we are not running inside because it is raining or cold. Summer brings out a different side of our population, and the food….oh the food. Going outside you will smell the BBQ. Going to the markets you will smell all the different ethnic foods. Strolling Pike Place the fish market will be very prominent, none the less the fresh fish is DIVINE. For me though, the best summer food is made in my very own kitchen. I am talking about mouth-watering homemade sandwiches. Savory pasta and quinoa salads. Freshly baked desserts to enjoy after grilling some kabobs and vegan burgers. I know this does not appeal to all, but you haven’t had my cooking yet.

The best summer treat
I’d like to warn everyone, that this post is filled with ice cream slander. For the life of me, I have never truly understood why ice cream seems to be the frozen treat of summer. I stand relatively alone, apparently, in the sentiment that, on a hot day the last thing on my mind is a bowl of dairy. Some research would even suggest the combination of fat, protein, and sugar does more to heat you than cool you off on a hot day( ha!). And I get it, popsicles while delicious in their own right can be messy and usually leave you wanting more. So what’s the alternative? What sweet frozen delicacy can satisfy you on a hot day like (-better than) ice cream? Walk into the city of Philadelphia and every resident will have the same answer. Water ice.

The Wine-Drunk Italian Chef, Vol. 1: Baked Ziti
I started cooking almost 20 years ago. My fascination with The Sopranos HBO series is honestly what got me involved with cooking. They seemed to mention a dish called “Baked Ziti” often in the show. It always made me hungry.

Aunt Sue's Macaroni Salad . Top Story - June 2022.
There were never any paparazzi lurking in the bushes but Aunt Sue still referred to her signature BBQ dish as her “World Famous Macaroni Salad”. As a kid gullible enough to believe a nocturnal fairy was periodically buying my discarded teeth, I took her at her word. After all, even if she was possibly exaggerating, it was a damned good salad.

Mac N Cheese
I love mac and cheese. It's the easiest recipe to learn how to make as a child. I mean, the first thing you know is how to pour your cereal into your bowl and then your milk into your bowl without spilling it. You're a kid! After you accomplish that, you think you can conquer anything.

Green Tea and Elderberry Pop Tarts (A Recipe)
Green Tea and Elderberry Pop Tarts For me, summer is about drinking chilled green tea while sitting on my patio to watch thunderstorms. It's also about picking berries with family and going on dates to old country restaurants where they serve turkey sandwiches with goat cheese and homemade jam.

Six Most Favorite Healthy Breakfast Beverages You Must Try
After eight or seven hours of sleep and not drinking any liquid, our body can automatically feel drained. In the morning, not drinking enough fluids or having a proper meal is the biggest reason we always feel tired and deprived of energy. There is no denying that breakfast is the first and essential meal of the day. But many people tend to skip breakfast most of the time because they are running late. The tight schedule does not allow to consume a full of nutrients breakfast in the morning. As a result, half of the people continue working without eating anything. The other half of the people will get any unhygienic food items from the supermarket.
