How I spent my #PancakeDay2020
When I first moved to England 9 years ago for medical school, I never seemed to understand the incredibly popular ‘Pancake Day’ that happened on a Tuesday. It later occurred to me by way of my Half-English, Hal-American Cambridge raised best friend (to this day) Philip that informed me about the significance stemming from ‘Shrove Tuesday’. Historic UK describes this beloved day as. “ the traditional feast day before the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday. Lent – the 40 days leading up to Easter – was traditionally a time of fasting and on Shrove Tuesday, Anglo-Saxon Christians went to confession and were “shriven” (absolved from their sins). Thus, prior to their physical fast from that which they’re giving up for 40 days and they essentially “pigged-out” on this particular Tuesday.

5 Tasty Ways to Cook Squirrel
Some people do nothing but crave steaks. I have heard those who say ribs are the greatest thing a man or woman (or whatever other genders there are) can eat. Of course, being Americans, many of us would argue the greatest meat contraption available is our beloved burger. But to me, nothing beats the delicate, sweet tender meat from a squirrel.

Doing Flavor All Wrong
We all have our own tastes. Some (psychos) think that kale is great, others (of the respectable sort) value chocolate as the ultimate dessert flavor. There are (basic) people who become vegans and also those (who enjoy life) that can enjoy the occasional fast-food burger. All of these opinions are valued, but this article is to tell the world that what's actually correct, or at least start with five major points.

Bona Petite!
osMy father was an amazing chef and could take a tough piece of meat and make a tender roast out of it, pink on the inside and brown on the outside. But, he wasn't patient and could not figure out how to teach my sister and me how to cook. Mom wasn't a cook at all and dad did all the cooking in our home. Consequently, when I got married I had no idea how to cook. Everything I made was burned on the outside and raw inside because of the high heat I used. I didn't understand about temperature, timng, or seasoning and what you saw was what you got.

Eating well underway
When I scroll through all the pictures in my phone it’s hard to pick just one subject. I am a photographer, so I have photos of my mom’s dog, landscapes, my friends, flights I have taken, you name it I probably have at least one picture of it. But right now, my favorite shots are my food preparation and meals. This is very important to me because I live on a sailboat and plan to sail around the world within the next couple of years with my boyfriend. When I think about actually leaving it makes me think that so many people have this dream, but how many people really do it and do it? It takes a lot of courage to up and leave a “normal” life doing the same thing every day or they have young kids. I think it’s the same idea of having kids “there is no perfect time,” you can only prepare as much as you can and just do it!
