I Might Be a Bagel Addict
During the time of my quarantine because of the coronavirus pandemic, I discovered an insatiable taste for bagels, especially the everything bagels. I grew a fondness for bagels because they are delicious and convenient to eat. Besides, there are so many ways to prepare them for a meal or a snack. They can be eaten toasted or untoasted with cream cheese or other ingredients on the slices after the bagel is split into two halves. I love the bagels so much and eat them so often that I might have become a bagel addict.

Comfort Foods During Quarantine
There is one thing most people have in common while staying home during the coronavirus pandemic is that they are eating more and eating more of the things they weren't eating before they were mandated to stay home. Even healthy eaters are finding themselves eating different foods than they did just a few months ago. They have begun to eat comfort foods that are not always healthy. Some have stopped counting calories and have gone back to eating foods that make them feel better.

Looking Forward to Getting Back to Normal
I'm somewhat of an introvert, but I like being able to go out if and when I choose to do so. Not being in control of my environment is what troubles me the most. That's why I like bars. I can choose how social I want to be. If I want to strike up a conversation with someone at the bar, it's usually pretty easy to do. Most people are willing to chat with others who are sitting near them. I'm not sure why. There's just something more communal about sitting at a bar.

Chinese Cooking Challenge- Day 3
Sunday 10th May 2020 Today was my turn in the kitchen. We had an exciting event happen the other day, one of the rings on our hob was on and tripped the switch. So now we are down to one working ring. Luckily, we are called “One Wok Two Noobs” so we only need one ring- let’s hope it stays working until the new cooker comes!

Chinese Cooking Challenge- Day 2
Thursday 7th May 2020 Today was Tadgers turn on cooking- I know I said last entry that it was a team effort but I joked about the compromising to make it work for me. We actually decided that some dishes we can work together on and others e can take turns in doing. Tonight, on the cards was “Flash-fried cabbage with dried chillies and sweetened soy”, not something we would usually choose to cook so an interesting one to try.

(Superfly) Pizza
“Pizza” That’s not the first word you’d expect a baby to utter. Clearly I wasn’t normal. I imagine most babies (as with my older and younger sisters) said something along the lines of “mummy” or “daddy”. Being raised in a household that was up the road from the local pizza shop, my parents recalled how entranced I became in the backseat of the car, each and every time we drove past it. The big illuminated neon light with the word “PIZZA” clearly had an aura or near spell-like affect on me.

Day 1 has gone well. At around half past three we had an internal debate with ourselves; “can’t we start tomorrow instead”. We would be able to put off going to the shop for an extra day, we were so close to caving in but yesterday I promised you Singapore noodles and we didn’t want to let you down.
