Candy, doughnuts, pancakes, French toast, chocolate croissants, pop, Starbucks have two things in common: 1) I love them all 2) these all have high doses of sugar. I love sugar, it's what I crave on a daily basis. Tat's all I can think about, so I decided to look into what can cause these sorts of cravings:

-Stress

-Lack of sleep

-Lack of minerals such as magnesium

-Not eating enough

-Gut imbalance

-Hormonal imbalance

- Candida

-Dehydration

And I am guilty of it all, I definitely don't drink enough water, I've had candida (yeast infection) on and off for months, Candida symptoms include bloating, cramps, brain fog, fatigue and it sucks. So, we can break down each element piece by piece to avoid these sugar cravings. Sugar is never good for your health it increases health problems such as diabetes, cancer, and obviously weight gain exponentially. We should be avoiding more sugar.

I know my body pretty well and when stress comes into my life so do donuts, I love a good fatty donut and have a hard time convincing myself I don't, (or donut) need one.

I need to drink more water. I barely have a glass a day, which is why I crave sugar to no end, I dream of eating sour worms and gummy bears and cake. So I had to find a solution, I’ve been drinking more tea at work and every time I think about eating something sweet I drink water and I found with the water intake I don’t think about it as much.

Gut health is what really affects everything, it’s what causes brain fog and all the other symptoms as well. I started eating healthier and started exercising more and I find that with that change in my life I can sleep much better. Plus with moving your body it really cleanses your intestines. I found that I am craving less sugar with these easy minor changes. Working out 15 minutes a day is all you need.

Candida is a yeast infection. Everyone has a little bit of yeast in their bodies that is completely normal. However, if you increase your intake on sugar it causes the yeast to grow. It works exactly the same way as yeast from a grocery store, when baking bread. You need sugar in order for it grow. Once the yeast infection starts it really has a hard time growing without sugar, so your body is craving it more. I’ve had candida and didn’t even know it until I took medication and cleared my mind and gut. It can spread to your blood and brain if it is left untreated.

So I needed a solution you know? Get rid of the craving while also caring for my gut and as I was searching solutions the algorithm changed for me and more and more ads starting popping up for me from Blume. A hydration drink that also looks after your gut. I’ve never felt better, I feel less bloated, I crave sugar a lot less and it fills my dehydration problem.

Blume is a company that focuses on gut health. They create yummy drinks that taste delicious and are healthy for you, they fill each packet with probiotics, prebiotics and “superfoods” which I think is just a fancy term for apple cider vinegar, which is why is helps with bloating so well. This company is such a life changer and I am not affiliated with them in any way. I really find it works wonders for my body. I haven’t had a bloating problem in months since I started drinking it once a day.

That means you help me out as I earn a tiny bit without it costing you anything extra. It’s a win-win.

Anyways, since my craving of sugar coated cookies went down, so did my weight. I’ve lost 2 kgs in three weeks since I started working out more, drinking more, sleeping more and overall caring for my well-being.

However, there are other healthier ways to lower that sugar cravings taking vitamin B and Zinc can also help you. Eating foods with lots of magnesium such as nuts, bananas, whole grain bread, soy products can also help out with your sugar cravings. Drink water or eat dark chocolate can also get rid of that feeling fast.

What do you do to defeat the need for a cupcake or ice cream?
