Oktoberfest at Matter of Craft
Join us for a beer?

This year, Matter of Craft is teaming up with another local brewing company to help celebrate Oktoberfest. Try some refreshing craft beer from Flashpoint Brewing Company, located in Huntington Beach, California, like MOC. They take the crafting of beer very seriously, and what better way to give you a sample of their work than at a popular Oktoberfest! Come on Down on October 2nd.

The event will take place in the taproom of MOC. Enjoy a refreshing beer paired with a delicious, mouth-watering bratwurst cooked to perfection, served with sauerkraut made from scratch. Since all the food is fresh, it may take some time to prepare, but it is worth the wait, which is guaranteed when you take that first bite. The kitchen staff at MOC makes all the food from fresh ingredients and herbs.
And let's not forget to finish it off with a delicious hot pretzel made by local 'pretzel man' himself, Dennis Midden, who locals have described as a "legendary local Pretzel maker." This is because Dennis prepares the pretzels fresh and has mastered the craft.

I highly recommend tasting these pretzels with the beer cheese or dip sauce available. Your taste buds will thank you. Check out the video on the Instagram page.
While enjoying some food, why not enter a contest that involves holding your beer, literally? I'm talking about the Stein holding contest. The rules are simple in this contest; the only thing every competitor has to do is hold a full, one-liter beer stein at arm's length for as long as possible. Sounds easy. Think again, because there are specific rules for grip, arm posture, and liquid containment, which in this case is beer (liquid gold). Listen and listen well!
The goal is to be the last person with
• A locked elbow (You can't bend your elbow)
• Straight arm
• and no spilled beer. (Not even a drop, that will cost you and you will lose, so don't spill!!!)
The winner will get a prize!
Here is a little historical fact for you: the competition originated in Bavaria, Germany, and to this day, it remains a popular event at Oktoberfest celebrations. As a result, many people who want to participate go through weeks of training to strengthen their shoulder and arm muscles. So, get ready for some competition while making memories.

Remember to enjoy all that good food with The Matter of Crafts' own craft beer, available at the entrance. It's nice and chill, perfect for hitting the spot. And savor the food prepared in our scratch kitchen. Because, if there is one thing Matter of Craft believes, it is that delicious, freshly made food always brings friends and family together.
