Junk Food Overload
Entering the car after a short trip into the grocery store, you stare at the quick decision made at the checkout line. You unwrap the luxurious gold foil enclosing a creamy milk chocolate ball covered with finely chopped hazelnuts. You bite into the center, exposing a perfectly roasted hazelnut, surrounded by a luscious, smooth filling, and delicate crisp wafer. Envisioning childhood memories, you close your eyes as the melting chocolate consumes your tongue.

Isomalt vs Sugar
Working with sugar for making sculptures during my graduation from India, I had faced a lot of problems. Working with sugar in a place with such high humidity; sugar became sticky due to its hydroscopic properties. Sugar attracts vapour from the atmosphere and becomes sticky. The crystals in the sugar get lumped up when the humidity is high and the more the humidity, the more quickly this process is going to take place. There are endless discussions on the benefits of using Isomalt for sugar works in comparison to sugar. The resistant property of Isomalt in attracting vapour from atmosphere is very high. Isomalt will not become sticky or crystalize in high humidity. (Wordpresscom, 2014)

10 Failed Fast Food Menu Items That We Really Miss
Ah, fast food. My old obsession. As I've said before, there's something to be admired about a restaurant that's so well-run, so beloved, that it's capable of spreading its grasp of a demographic from one coast to another. They are well-oiled machines that show how powerful marketing, good management, and a little bit of luck can be.

Don’t Eat the Fuzzy Ones
I swear that the first greens of the spring come like a green sigh of relief. After damn near five months of winter, they release like the forest has been holding its breath all that time. Some folks aren’t a fan. They haven’t gone out to find them (and then failed).

Ma's Classic Brown Bread
Now, let me ask you. Who doesn't enjoy a fresh, delicious, fluffy and wholesome slice of brown bread from time to time? I mean, yeah, white bread is good and all, whole wheat... not too bad either. But listen, this isn't your typical brown bread recipe you Google a day or two before Mom and Dad are expected to show up for a baked beans lunch and you look to impress them with a nice side of BB, no. This recipe is a special one to me and I asked for it because I couldn't go any longer without knowing how to make this exact brown bread. My good friend's mother shared this recipe with me after plenty of nagging, and her father passed it down to her. Her father worked for the Canadian Navy as the lead cook on the ship, or what he liked to be called the "nautical chef of the sea." The reason it is a unique recipe is because it's quick and the taste is next to none. Firstly, the brown bread only takes a couple hours to bake, where typically it can be a day or two ordeal while we anxiously wait as drool runs down the corner of our mouth. Second, the taste is amazing. I wouldn't lie about that. Back in the day as the crew of seaman worked hand over fist hard all day and faced the everyday struggles out at sea, they worked up quite a hunger and disappointment at lunchtime was no option. So listen, although you won't be enjoying this meal at sea after a hard day's work, it still won't disappoint and the last thing you will do is disappoint your Mom and Dad when they arrive for baked beans and brown bread. Try it and enjoy!

Using the Find Me GF App When Eating out Gluten Free
One of the most stressful parts of being gluten free is eating out. One of my biggest struggles used to be trying to find a good place to eat out, especially when I was on vacation in an area I was unfamiliar with. Fortunately, I recently discovered the Find Me GF App. This app has many features that can help you when eating out GF. The Find Me GF has many features that have helped me a lot when searching for new restaurants to try near me. You also can look for restaurants in the category of most celiac friendly, dedicated gluten free, best rated, and the list goes on and on. Each restaurant will have the following information:

HelloFresh
What’s for dinner!? Ahhhhh, that dreadful question that follows us around on a daily basis! Let’s face it! WE ALL WANT TO MAKE LIFE EASIER! If you’re a busy mom like me and are constantly running the roads between taking kids back and forth to school, baseball, cheer practices/games, all while maintaining a full-time job, then you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE TO COOK and it’s one of my passions but sometimes when I’ve been working all day long and not getting in until late at night, I just want to kick my shoes off and fall into bed! Although that sounds AMAZING on most nights, at the end of the day, I’m still a mom and I have responsibilities and obligations to tend to. As parents, we all want to do what’s best for our kids. We want them to be healthy! My kids would love to have a full course meal on a daily basis if they could have it. Heck, I guess I would too if I had someone to cook for me (can you deliver that on a silver platter too please while you’re at it?!) but on most days, that’s just not the case! It seems like the older your kids get, the less time you have to figure out dinner; then you’re spending money on crap like fast food, dining out, or telling the kids it’s fend for yourself night. I have an 11-year-old boy that HATES “fend for yourself” nights. Dear baby Jesus, if he has to make it himself, he’d rather starve!

10 Best Vegetarian and Vegan Cookbooks That You Must Have in Your Kitchen
Whether you're a vegetarian, vegan, or simply want to whip up healthy meals for your diet, you know that there are so many recipes out there that include all-organic ingredients without the use of animal products. Even when we're aware of this, some of us tend to get lost or don't even know where to start. I know I'm lost whenever I want to make vegan dishes for myself every now and then. If you're not a vegan and just want to try out some vegan meals, it can be difficult to find substitutions for some of your commonly-used ingredients; if you're just beginning a vegan journey, or you're living a veggie lifestyle but have little experience in the kitchen, suddenly taking on the task of cooking a vegan meal can feel overwhelming.

GMOs
Imagine going to the grocery store; this is one of the first times you have had to go about buying your own groceries and making sure you are getting all the vitamins and nutrients that come from the foods we eat. In every section of the store, you see foods labeled organic, Non-G.M.O., or contains G.M.O.s. Does it matter which one you pick? Does one have more health benefits compared to the others? Are they all safe to eat? There is no clear answer because there is a lot of debate around G.M.O. use for our produce, but that does not keep people from buying those products.

Health Benefits of Using Cast Iron Cookware You Never Knew
If there's one thing that real foodies love to see, it's a nice set of cast iron skillets, pots, and pans. They are heavy as sin, but are excellent when it comes to conducting heat. They're easy to clean, sturdy, and known for lasting a lifetime. Word has it that they also add flavor to your food, too.
