How I developed healthy eating

A journey to wellness

It began with a gentle thought,

That health is a treasure not easily bought.

Not in quick fixes or rushing days,

But in steady steps, small, simple ways.
——

I noticed my habits, one by one,

How I lived, what I’d become.

The way I ate, the way I moved,

How little care my body proved.

——
I started small, with mindful care,

Writing down meals, every drink laid bare.

A journal helped me see it all,

The snacks, the meals, both big and small.

——
Days turned to weeks, a month went by,

Patterns showed where my problems lie.

Sugary snacks and salty treats,

Stole my health with every repeat.

——
So water became my dearest friend,

A simple choice I could defend.

Eight glasses a day, a goal I set,

My thirst was met, my health reset.

——
Snacks changed too, I made a switch,

From cookies and chips to fruits I’d pick.

Bananas, apples, berries so sweet,

Became the snacks I chose to eat.

——
I set clear goals to guide my way,

Simple and specific for every day.

I shared these goals with those I trust,

Their support became a must.

——
Three meals a day, no skipping around,

At set times, where hunger was found.

I filled my plate with food that’s real,

Protein and fiber in every meal.

——
Spinach, avocados, eggs, and beans,

Healthy foods replaced empty scenes.

I felt fuller, stronger, ready to go,

Energy flowing, a steady glow.

——
I slowed down while I ate my food,

Chewing with care, changing my mood.

Twenty minutes to finish a meal,

Helped me enjoy and truly feel.

——
Screens turned off, distractions gone,

Eating mindfully made me strong.

Each bite became a moment of peace,

A habit I loved, a sense of release.

——
At night, I learned to let food wait,

Stopping by 7, a rule I’d create.

No late-night snacks to weigh me down,

My mornings started without a frown.

——
Sleep improved, my rest felt deep,

A lightness followed each night’s sleep.

My mind was clearer, my steps were light,

A simple change brought so much right.

——
Processed food began to fade,

Replaced by what nature made.

Fruits and veggies filled my plate,

Colorful, fresh, and truly great.

——
Carrots, peppers, broccoli, too,

Brought me strength in every chew.

The crunch of greens, the burst of taste,

Showed me health is not a waste.

——
Water stayed my closest guide,

Quenching thirst, filling pride.

Sugary drinks lost their shine,

Pure water was enough, just fine.

——
Tea joined in, warm and bright,

Lemon, mint, a soothing delight.

Simple sips to calm my mind,

Gentle habits I’d unwind.

——
Step by step, my life did change,

Not perfect, but no longer strange.

Progress grew, though small it seemed,

My health improved, just as I dreamed.

——
Every choice I made each day,

Shaped my life in its own way.

No quick fixes, no rushing through,

Just steady steps toward something new.

——
My meals reflected balance and care,

Grains, veggies, and proteins there.

Whole foods replaced what I once knew,

A colorful plate with every view.

——
Avocado spread, nuts for a snack,

Olive oil drizzled brought flavor back.

Healthy fats became my treat,

Making each meal feel complete.

——
Protein kept my energy strong,

Fish, beans, eggs all played along.

Simple choices, but they showed,

The path to health is where I’d go.

——
I started to move, step by step,

Walking outside, my heart leapt.

Nature welcomed me with open arms,

Movement brought its own charms.

——
Yoga stretches, gentle and slow,

Helped my mind and body flow.

Every bend, every pose,

Brought me peace from head to toes.

——
Not every day was easy or right,

Some days were hard, others a fight.

But I kept going, step by step,

Through mistakes, I’d learn and prep.

——
I found joy in the little things,

In the energy that health brings.

In meals prepared with care and thought,

In every lesson wellness taught.

——
My family and friends saw the change,

In my habits and life rearranged.

Their cheers and support kept me strong,

Encouraging me all along.

——
Now I feel stronger, lighter, free,

Living the life I’m meant to be.

Health isn’t perfect, but it’s my way,

A foundation for each new day.

——
This journey continues, with more to learn,

The fire of wellness continues to burn.

Through small changes, one by one,

A life of health has just begun.

——
Let this poem speak to you,

If health is something you pursue.

Start small, with steps so light,

And you’ll find yourself in the bright.

——
To water, to greens, to mindful care,

To meals with love and balance there.

The path to health is always near,

A journey worth it, year by year.

——
For every habit, big or small,

A better life is built for all.

Choose wisely, grow, and take your stand,

A healthier you is close at hand.
