The fish is combined with vegetables like peas, corn, or leeks, The filling is then topped with mashed potatoes and baked till golden brown.

Beef and Guinness pie is basically a stew in a pastry. The pie is baked until the pastry lid is golden brown. The filling consists of beef cubes, mustard powder, oil, onions, celery, carrots, Guinness, beef stock, red currant jelly, bay leaves, parsley, and thyme, It is cooked slowly so the meat is tender.

The pie dough is made with a mixture of flour, sugar, butter, and cold water, while the filling usually consists of olive oil, onions, leeks, scallions, garlic, bell peppers, hot peppers, chicken breasts, white wine, mustard, tomatoes, raisins, manzanilla olives, capers, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaves, and seasonings.
