Parenting My Way
My daughter's father comes from a family of teachers and I was always an active member at my local library. That being said we were heavily in agreement that we wanted our daughter to have books around from day one. I'm lucky enough to be part of a community that has access to 'Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.' Its a free service that provides a monthly book for kids zero to five years of age. I enrolled my daughter when she was less than 24 hours old. Recently it has become one of her favorite things to get a book in the mail at which point she sits and 'reads' it to anybody who will sit still long enough.

Jack and Sharky
There he lays in his bed surrounded by an army of plush warriors to protect him from bad dreams and the things that go bump in the night. They range from all sorts of backgrounds, Pokémon, animals from zoo’s even the space shuttle from our trip to the air museum a few years ago. But Jack’s most stalwart defender, his greatest comfort and closest companion among all his cotton filled protectors is Sharky.

A Mouse on a Stick
I feel the coldness dripping down my arm. A chunk of chocolate landed right on my shirt. The disappointed groan from my mother alerted me to the fact that I would not getting another treat like this soon. I decided to savor it and let all of the flavors dance across my tonged.

Not Quite Nellie
I am currently writing this from a mental health facility (with observations made after sprinkled in, in case I mess up my tenses). After I got out of prison, my only thought was to kill myself. I wanted to die so very badly. I could not, however, do that to my husband. So, I did the responsible thing and contacted my counselor. She told me of the different mental health facility options. There was now a greater variety than just checking into a proper hospital where they would most likely drug you and could keep you indefinitely.

Ten Things to Teach Your Kid
It's pretty scary knowing that your kid is going to go out into the world. The chest can tighten up just thinking about the idea that your kid will be out there, without you by their side, dealing with other people and the kind of mini-emergencies and major emergencies that happen in life. But that is the ultimate goal of raising to kids, to get them out into the world as functioning adults that treat others well and that can handle shit as it comes. This is just a short list of things to pass on to your kid so that they can have a working base in order to be that functioning adult.

Peace of my Project
For me, peace of mind does not come easily. I’m a twenty-one-year-old, single, working, mom of two who is trying to do COLLEGE. No matter what I do I’m busy. If I'm eating, I'm feeding a baby at the same time. If I'm sleeping, I'm sleeping next to a toddler and a baby (they sleep in my bed.) I can't remember the last time I used the restroom or took a shower alone. I get my nails done sometimes...with a 9-month-old in my lap, and my two-year-old in the chair next to me.

Bimby went to Gloomsby.
Bimbys are rarer than their distant cousins the Tuffles. They are covered in silky short fur with a peachey coloured mane and they are soft and cuddly and very very friendly. They walk on their back legs from time to time especially when on new adventures. Bimbys have air-filled hooves that go ‘pat pat pat’ on the ground and they must be careful not to roll their delicate ankles on uneven surfaces. They get a bit nervous when they are climbing on rocks and on long grass and go on the uppermost tips of their hooves like we do when we are on our tippy-toes but on the whole they are very brave and love trying new things.
