post lockdown escape
the lockdown has cost me 3 concerts and meant my wedding and subsequent honey moon is delayed a year. Also it means I will not be able to visit my son for his 30th birthday and he wont be able to see mine for my 50th. He lives 50 miles from me and due to his autism and other needs he lives in a supported living care home. He seems to be coping with the lock down so far as he hasn't been in contact to complain.

i long for this day...
i absolutely love having my children and husband home with me..i am disabled and in chronic pain all over, so to me it means feeling a little safer and able to ask for help with more and having more meals, and cups of tea made for me which allows my body to rest more than it would when they were at work or school.

Just Breathing
I am sitting in the same spot where you took your last breath with tears streaming down my face. I should not be here alone. You should be here next to me. Breathing. Just breathing. Not hooked up to an oxygen tank or to tubes with chemo flowing through. Just breathing. I begin to think about all the memories we shared in the short amount of time I got to spend with you, all the wise words you had said, all the hugs you gave, and all of the truths you had instilled in me since I was young. You supported me in everything I did. You always cheered me on.

Compliment character, not Beauty
Little bit of a rant here, but hold on, stay with me. This morning, my daughter got up and was hatching with me on the couch, a mess of blonde haired knots and 'sleepies' being shaken out of her body. She said to me that yesterday, she had a little girl tell her that she wasn't pretty.

Family IS FOREVER
Family is everything. Family is more than friendship. Family is the only group of people who you have in your life since the day you were born. “They” say don’t ever take your family for granted. I wholeheartedly believe in that. No matter how far away you might live from your family members - whether it’s 15 minutes, or 15 hours - never lose contact with your family members. Having friends is great; but friendships can end at any time. Although family members may fight at times, they’re still your family. Cherish them all the time. Keep in touch with them.

Winter
In a small town of Culpeper in the year of 1980. Everyone enjoyed winter. Everyone but me, that it is. While children were building snowmen and having snowball fights, and teenagers and couples ice skated and went sledding. I would sit in my chair by the window with my cup of hot chocolate, while my dog Curley and my cat Jelly Bean rested on the rug in front of the fireplace.
