The Toxicity of Hustle Culture
Shocking news of suicide due to toxic workplace culture

Another dream that did not reach its fruition, another soul that was shattered by its externality. It is heartbreaking to hear the recent news about a dynamic young professional , Anna Perayil, living in Pune, from EY who took her life due to extreme work pressure and a toxic workplace environment.
The question that impends is how long we will glorify the toxic hustle culture. How long are the people who work their sprits to the ends of exhaustion going to be put on a pedestal?
The truth belies in the fact that if something happens to an individual, the company would not take more than a day to fill in the position and replace you. The only thing you can do to them is either an asset or a liability. But your loved ones can find no one in your place, you are irreplaceable in the being of your friends and family.
I hope we realise that work is a part of our existence and not our entire life. It is important to find a balance between work and personal life. If a job or any workplace is costing you, your mental health and time with your loved ones, trust me it is not a price worth paying.
