ETHERISM & POETIC RITUALS
The name is intentionally chosen. It’s a way to combine my various areas of knowledge. Yet, here, once again, poetry, or poeticness, remains my primary focus. I have nothing against science or other arts, but writing poetry is a "creative" act, divine in nature, and serves to create and change the world (into the World) and convey deeper knowledge. In this sense, even Aristotle was wrong when he claimed in his Poetics that literature was "more philosophical" than historiography, but still beneath philosophy. Indeed, the first philosophies were in verse, in meter. Besides meaning, their sound, tonal quality was also important—more mnemonically powerful, it transmits knowledge while simultaneously invoking and awakening it, not remaining at the intellectual level alone, but extending to the soul, the spirit, the emotional, and even physical knowledge and memory.

Businesswoman Chapter 130
Gusts of wind blew across the city. There seemed to be a few vortexes that swept through Wilmington. This did not interrupt Loreen’s flow, however. She just moved her clients into a building fortified and constructed to withstand the blasts of air. The building was also bomb resistant.

Veil of the Firstborn Part 1
The storm had been waiting for them. By the time Vaelin and Elira crested the ridge into the northern wastelands, the sky was a crushed, bruised gray, torn open by claws of black lightning. The earth itself seemed uneasy, heaving shallow tremors beneath their boots. A metallic tang hung on the air, as if the ground were bleeding somewhere unseen. Neither of them spoke for a while. In the growing distance ahead, the remains of Hearthdeep, once a proud trade town, smoldered like the dying embers of a forgotten hearth. Stone buildings, once tall and proud, were now half-swallowed by broken earth and choking vines.

"A World Set Ablaze"
In the year 2301, Earth had become a place of smog and ruin. The once-glorious cities, teeming with life and innovation, now lay silent under a veil of gray clouds. The people had retreated into their last bastions of survival—underground cities, floating arcs in the atmosphere, and colonies on distant moons. The world was no longer a place of wonder, but a husk of its former self. And yet, amidst all the decay, there was still one place where humanity dreamed of renewal—a world far beyond the stars, one that could only be reached through the mind.

1/0: Entries from the End Times
“I’ll quit.” I stopped sipping the rich, white broth directly from the well. “I’ll quit,” Etan repeated through a mouthful of tender dark meat he’d torn from the chicken’s leg. “I’ve let you down twice now, and I’ll be damned – well, I am damned – I’ll be double damned if I do it a third time.” He reached out to place a reassuring hand on my upper arm, but then immediately retracted it as if he were a leper and he didn’t want to infect me with his touch. “I’m telling you, so you’ll hold me to it. I’ll quit.”

Businesswoman Chapter 129
Entrepreneur Paul looked at the numbers on the screen. Seven figures. He wanted to do more so that he could earn more. He revised his strategy. With his knowledge of business, the might to fight the forces of ineptitude and misrepresentation lingered in his bones. The thought of the bomb threat also did not sit well with him. He wondered if it affected his performance, but then banished the thought as he considered his prowess in front of crowds. He looked down at his phone. He called the woman who could steer his mind in the right direction.

The Broken Word – Part 5
The days that followed should have been a time of peace. The clans, cautiously at first, resumed old trade routes and opened council fires. The blood feud that had festered was soothed, if not fully healed. Word traveled across the provinces that the rift had been mended—and with it, Elira's name grew in places she'd rather have stayed forgotten.
