Entrepreneur Paul looked at the numbers on the screen. Seven figures. He wanted to do more so that he could earn more. He revised his strategy. With his knowledge of business, the might to fight the forces of ineptitude and misrepresentation lingered in his bones. The thought of the bomb threat also did not sit well with him. He wondered if it affected his performance, but then banished the thought as he considered his prowess in front of crowds. He looked down at his phone. He called the woman who could steer his mind in the right direction.

“Loreen, are you still going ahead with your talk tonight?” his voice sounded not worried or alarmed just on the edge of concern.

“Of course, if I have to bring my arsenal up on that stage, I’m going to be prepared for whatever anyone plans,” she asserted.

“Any word on Lisa?” he asked.

“No,” she uttered slowly.

“She’s been lurking somewhere, I know she’s only up to the good.”

“We can only surmise,” Loreen sighed.

“I just hope wherever she is, whatever she does, she benefits selfishly,” he mentioned.

“With my limited knowledge of her and being around her, I’m sure she is.”

Atkinson switched gears. “Do you have the contracts for the Smithson account?”

“Yes, why?”

“I was going to take on that one since I struck out on this last venture. It’s just like the ballplayers, win or lose, they still get paid. Although, the more you win, the more you get paid. I want to be in the latter category.”

Loreen grinned and Atkinson could hear it in her voice over the phone. She switched to a video chat option. He accepted. She wanted him to see her smiling broad, clean and free.

“There you are….” He stated.

“Yes.”
