Businesswoman Chapter 128
Demand

On a shady street with puddles that swirled brown with mud, the Collectivists showed themselves.
“What is this?” Common Man asked.
“It’s our chance at redemption.” Socialista replied with a bit of grit in voice.
“I can’t wait any longer!” Fascinder screeched.
Lisa walked out from the bleakness. She wore black high heeled boots and a black and red cape.
“I thought you ‘Individuals’ didn’t wear capes,” remarked Common Man.
“Just for tonight. Now, let’s get to it. I know not who planned the bomb scare. You all must tell me who did. In exchange I offer you nothing. My morality of self-interest far outweighs your systems of iniquity,” Lisa outlined.
“We don’t know anything about who gave the scare,” Socialista replied.
“Yeah, we thought your little friend called it on herself. She’s such an attention freak,” Common Man added.
“You all listen to me. There will be serious penalties and fees levied against you if this noncompliance continues,” Lisa admonished.
“You can hear me literally when I say, so sue us,” Fascinder snickered.
“You have not committed any crime, yet. But ethically, you are all more corrupt than the souls of any man in bondage. You all show yourselves to be so low because all of your systems, wherever they had been experimented, could not withstand reality. Now, I demand you…where did the threat originate?”
“Do you think we’d tell? We’re not snitches. We don’t get riches. We’re here only to spread the Collectivist creed of all bodies joined as one,” Common Man intoned.
Lisa then looked at all three faces which melded into a multitude of blank pages, blobs of white and black etched in the atmosphere.
“You all just made it harder on yourselves. With every function that we participate in, with all our dealings, we’ll thrive.”
