Summer was Lily’s second favorite time of year. Summer meant adventures and endless play - things she'd been missing out on. She hadn't meant to give up those things. They slipped away with time. Just like that little girl did. But Lily was on quest to revive her.

3 Days in London
This article is for all those travelers that just need an idea of where to start and some tips on planning. London is a city rich in history but has also been rebuilt into a bustling city for any modern traveler. If you're from the States, you'll often hear this English city compared to New York City because of its extensive subway system, fast-paced atmosphere, and walkable streets lined with skyscrapers. London's unique history dates far before NYC however and takes at least 2-3 days to explore.

Take A Hike
At the summit of the tallest mountain in the United Kingdom, my chest heaved for air and my legs threatened to give out. I yearned to collapse, but I told myself I couldn’t sit down yet. I had to finish this trek. I had to make it to the summit marker. After four and a half hours of vigorous hiking, I would get my photo from the summit.

A Fantasy Future. Runner-Up in Future Fragments Challenge.
Children’s laughter filtered through the rows of thriving plants, their voices growing closer with little squeals of excitement. A smile tugged at my lips as I tilted my head back. Rays of sunlight streamed through verdant green leaves of the orange tree looming over me. Citrus filled my nose from picking the ripened fruits.

Divided Kingdom
The whistling of a dagger piercing through the air had Keeva ducking just as she jumped to avoid the sword slicing toward her leg. Before her feet touched the grass again, she parried with her own sword, blocking an attack and striking out against the opponent to her right. She wasn’t sure which one of her attackers had thrown the dagger and she certainly wasn’t happy about her skull nearly getting punctured.

Soul Chariot
Steady beeping woke me slowly from sleep. It didn’t alarm me, nor did it annoy me. It simply beeped to a steady rhythm that had my consciousness rising. I didn’t want to wake up yet though. Eyes heavy and muscles aching, all I wanted was to roll over and get another twenty minutes.

Scales of Blood
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. Or so the legends say. As Nyla stood in the middle of the chaotic arena - the stench of smoke stinging her nostrils, her eyes stuck on the blood seeping from her father’s lifeless body - her mind caught on the opening line to their most famous legend.

The Lonely God
Hurtling through the cosmos, worlds whirling by as I passed galaxy after galaxy, I wondered what was wrong with me. There was nothing wrong with me though. I was perfect. I was a god. An almighty creature capable of creating entire galaxies. Capable of ripping through the fabric of the universe to reach another.

Music is my muse
Writing is my first love. Music is my forever love. This thought came to me while listening to one of my absolute favorite pieces by Ludovico Eunadi. It’s a popular composition and one that will forever soothe my soul. Nuvole Bianche. As soon as the first stroke of keys played through the speakers of my laptop, my fingers hovered over the keyboard.

Improper Mage - Ch 5
Lady Monroe and her daughters were ecstatic during the carriage ride home. Pride filled her that each daughter found potential matches. Liana feigned happiness for her mother’s sake and to not drag anyone else down with her. All she could think about though was her secret and unexpected meeting with the king.

Twenty-six Years
All it took was one look and I nearly lost all control of my animalistic nature. The moment she looked into my eyes for the first time, I knew I’d never be the same. But my life had already been changing, so much so that I hardly recognized myself. It had been twenty-six years since I first caught her scent. Twenty-six years since I began to shed the layers of solitude I’d wrapped around myself like a shell to protect me from this cruel world.
