Proof That Friends Are Terrible Influences
It’s afternoon, and I am getting bored. The house is silent—Mom is at tea, sis is napping, and so is my younger brother. Ding dong! Ding dong! The bell rang. I wondered who it could be. Were my silent prayers answered? Did someone come to save me from this boredom?

Hugs For Carrots
“BRING! BRING! BRING!” “I’m up! I’m up!” Stretching, I turned off the alarm. Like a spring, I bounced out of bed and into my slippers. Opening my closet, I picked out a white top, blue bottoms, and an orange-peach checkered sweater—it was chilly inside.
