Hello 2025!
2025 has come and I'm planning to make this a year of big changes! This year my goals are all about making life more like it should be , I want to be able to achieve a large level of self sustainability , i don't want to be spending hundreds each month in big super markets , i don't want to feed the giants any more . Its now January so I'm making a plan of all the foods i can grow to feed myself and my family , different ways to preserve the foods , different recipes for home made cleaning products , and I'm even going to look into making my own soap to cut as many unnatural ingredients as i can from my home. I'm fed up of cheap processed food and so many people have fallen into a habit of believing that its the cheaper option but in reality its not , people also believe that growing food is expensive too but it doesn't have to be , second hand pots , cheap pots , growing directly into the ground , compost leaves and kitchen scraps , there is loads of things you can do to reduce the cost of gardening , you don't need fancy equipment , i do most of my potting with a kitchen spoon , I've built planters for inside my green house out of old furniture and so on. We have become so obsessed with the idea of having every thing look nice and in order that we forget that practicality and a little miss matched chaos is perfectly okay too! Cooking from scratch is something that needs to be done more often too , if you are someone that works all week or have a busy life style you can try bulk cooking a meal or a few meals to last you over a week or a month depending of how you keep it.
