The gleaming tower looked like a stainless steel knife projecting from the ground, the edge of the blade cutting into the clouds. A slight breeze rustled the leaves that gathered at the bottom of the blade handle. It seemed like the perfect place for a meeting at the top floor of the Presidential Skyscraper.

Horse Tracks
Christmastime enveloped Newark, Delaware. It was 1967. Gift giving started a week ahead of the actual holiday. Horace “Horse” Summervale focused on not slipping on the ice. He just knew that he had a new pair of winter boots that would warm his feet and keep him upright. Though the presents had been delivered, they would not be opened until December 25.

‘Yellowstone’ Gets Busy
Grade: B- In the penultimate episode of Season 5 of Yellowstone, there is sorrow and pain, levity and surprise, and a satisfying if not discombobulating ending. One of the best scenes comes of course from Mrs. Beth (Kelly Reilly) Wheeler neé Dutton. She explains to her husband the way of business on the ranch. With her breakdown of the leasing issue and tax concerns, she explains the system. Rip (Cole Hauser) retorts with what Beth calls a “pipe dream.”

Capturing Christmas
With garland strung about, the lights winking in the window, there seemed to be an air of Christmas cheer based solely on decorations. But this all amounted to the one woman who put it all together. Miss Clara Bismarck, tall for her twenty-two years, had become a teacher. She put in the work to have this private school put in place all of the imagination and glee that came with the holiday season.

CAVU
“Nobody listens to me. I should just commit suicide. God has not given me the word to actually do it, so I’ll suffer and sacrifice. I don’t like this world. I don’t like life,” Scottie Fend said aloud. He didn’t say it with rancor but with absolute resignation.

Smartystan: Women of the Mind
A learned machine walked down the stairs. Almost in an awkward motion, it ambled and then, just when it looked like the next turn would topple it, grace came into its structure and it moved like an angel. A synth passed by and winked at the machine. This specific synth carried data that would be used for future experiments within the body of UltraSynths. Bellinda looked at the time: 10:35 AM EST. She sighed. In moments, her new chief engineer Neel Singh had arrived at just the right time…minutes early. She sat at her pristine desk as some synths polished and waxed and vacuumed her work space.
