Armor-Clad
I cannot help but think about how you were seeing someone else the last two Christmas's and I didn't know until this year. Fears confirmed, forever-seared-soul, I still feel the warm, slicing tears. Will you ever fully understand the level of traumatic pain you caused me? Walking around, scarred and weighty, when I used to be carefree. I forgive you, but hell, I'll never forget. I couldn't forget if I tried. Pressing on, I've got to live, and in new hope, abide. There is a lot to be grateful for, but this Christmas feels tainted and sad. When I wake up tomorrow, I've learned my lesson, and I'll be ready, fully armor-clad.
