Strumming Hearts

Melodic memories

Strum my heart

You can be mine

That's a start

Fall into line

I'll strum yours

Isn't it fine?

With the music scores

Every time

Strumming affections

Highest pedigree

Greatest connections

Loving melody

Around we listen

The circle of fifths

Always do we glisten

Sweetheart gifts

Feel the pulsing

Helping harmonies

Seizures convulsing

Singing in Portuguese

Slide up with the notes

To the highest freight

Sow your wild oats

Love so set

Gentle guitar

Play me to sleep

At least thus far

Air in lungs ever to leap

Teach me how to play

So, we can do a duet

For a day anyway

I have much to learn yet

love poems
