How to Genrify Your School Library
I want to start by saying this is how I did my genrefying. It might not be the way for everyone to do it, but it was what worked for me. Please use my actions as guidelines and what works best for you. To pull all the books and sort them took about five days (might have been a little less) with about 2500 books.

Changes Over Time
I thought I had my future mapped out from a young age. Well, at least from about seventh or eighth grade. I distinctly remember wanting to be a veterinarian in third or fourth grade until I discovered that meant I’d have to do surgery on animals. I also remember wanting to be Princess Leia when I was about seven.

His mother had been calling for the last couple of days and he’d dodged her calls, not wanting to talk to her about quitting his job. Knowing that she’d keep calling if he didn’t answer, he finally picked up as she started to leave a message. “Hey, Mom.”

Lesson Plan for The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats
The Snowy Day Lesson Plan Since I live in Georgia, my students have never seen snow. Reading something like The Snowy Day allows them to see the snow without the cold. The addition of a snowy video on the smartboard just helps the atmosphere.
