Alone with my thoughts
In the world today there are so many distractions, and we have a well-equipped distraction box at all times in our pockets called our smartphones with no shortage of material to keep us distracted and entertained. This has made it such that we rarely find ourselves alone with our thoughts anymore, we are never alone with just ourselves. Anytime you feel like you are alone, you just turn on the Internet, and suddenly you are surrounded by a crowd, there is now so much to do and pretty much an unlimited sea of information to take in.

Is the problem leadership
With all the challenges that we face in our society today. From the increasing disparities in wealth right up to the necessities which are still very much lacking, I wonder if the problem is leadership or at least how much of it can be blamed on it. Generally in society, there is an expectation for the government to be the solution provider to every single concern which might be happening in a country. You also have businesses which come up to solve most or at least some of these issues but isn't this approach flawed?

The Lies we say to ourselves
I think sometimes reality is harder than what we would want it to be, in these instances we prefer lies to the truth or even reality. We would prefer to convince ourselves that a lie is the truth, simply because we can’t face the facts of that reality.

Listening to the data
The truth often depends on the angle from which you are looking at things. In some instances the truth is based on the facts of the situation, in another instance it is based on the feelings of the persons, yet again in another instance it comes down to the timing of everything. This is to say that the truth is very much subjective and based on the person saying it, I know that this can’t be a general statement, but I say it because it happens so often I’ve gotten numb to it all.

Happy no matter what
It's pretty clear that the objective of every single person on earth is to be happy, it just comes down to what that means for you. Everything we do always has as objective to make us happy. Added to that, our brain has been able to convince us to do things which don’t always act in our advantage, but it makes us get the feeling that we are happy.It's difficult to get a person to do something which doesn’t make them happy over a long period of time. Maybe in a short while we might succeed with that, but if a person’s mind doesn’t come to terms with their actions, then they’ll have a mental break-down.

Does it really matter that much
I recently came across the concept of “if you look at a small problem too closely, you are going to make a big deal out of it” which is quite true in a lot of ways because the closer you come to an object, the bigger it looks in your eyes. This quote is very telling, when you consider your relationships and how you interact with different persons. Someone might do something very insignificant but because of the dynamic we have with this person it will push us to make a big deal out of it, meanwhile with another person we would not even bother.

Winners are unstoppable
Losers give up at the first obstacle which seems too difficult to deal with, while winners are in a totally different ball game. It is very difficult for a winner to give up or be stopped, even when faced with the most difficult challenges.
