Musical Alphabet Letter W
Usually, we choose songs we like by the melody, the lyrics, and by the musical genre. I’m starting a series with songs from all kinds of genres going according to the alphabet. One Hit Wonders of Yesteryear Part Two

Where Ghosts Play
You’ll find the privately owned Griggs Mansion in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This old Victorian mansion was built around 1883 and has four stories and 24 rooms with high ceilings. All the floors have landings as you go up a staircase. On the fourth floor, you’ll find the landing has a vast skylight. This was installed in 1939 when the mansion was used as an art school.

Ostrava at the Confluence of Four Rivers
The Czech Republic is a landlocked country historically known as Bohemia. It is bordered by Austria to the south, Germany to the west, Poland to the northeast, and Slovakia to the southeast. Ostrava in the north-east is the third largest city sharing a border with Poland at the confluence of four rivers – the Oder, Opava, Ostravice, and Lucina.

Exploring Connecticut
Bridgeport Connecticut is the fifth-largest city in New England. The Discovery Museum and Planetarium is an interactive, educational facility. The exhibits are hands-on and activity-based so that visitors can learn through personal experience and interaction. This museum has three permanent galleries and features lessons and activities about electricity, sound, and space. Throughout the year there are three additional traveling exhibits.

Hometown New York City Brooklyn
For people living in small to mid-size hometowns, it is easy to write about their towns. However, for someone like me who was born and raised in New York City, it is rather difficult. Therefore I will look upon the borough of Brooklyn as my small town away from the teeming streets of Manhattan and the other boroughs. If you know about Brooklyn and find a neighborhood missing it is just that I wrote about all the ones I knew and where I have been. I was born in a very quiet corner of Brooklyn called Bay Ridge so I began my tour there. Then came the neighborhood of Bensonhurst. BoCoCa refers to three Brooklyn neighborhoods – Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, and Carroll Gardens. BoCoCa is an umbrella term for the small region of Brooklyn located south and southwest of Downtown Brooklyn. As I continue I will paste the links for the neighborhoods I have written about below.

The Solomon Islands is a country that consists of six major islands and more than 900 smaller ones in Melanesia, part of Oceania. These islands are located northeast of Australia. Honiara is the capital and largest city of the Solomon Islands on the northwestern coast of Guadalcanal.

That Feeling of Vizbulation
She sat looking through her old photos, a treasure trove of memories before her. Playing the songs they once enjoyed together, her mood was on a downswing and her feet just wanted to stray down Memory Lane. Suddenly seemingly from nowhere, vizbulation took over and it seemed the rock that had been sitting in her chest rolled off. Her ever-faithful heart had kept beating but now it leapt with joy. She just knew that as of today everything would be all right again. She looked at the photo of Tom in her hand. There he was smiling and waving like always and she knew that when her life’s journey ended he would be there to greet her looking just like in that photo. Till then she had a life to live. She had been given the chance to do the things she needed to do and the things that she enjoyed doing. Looking out the window for the first time in a long time the sun looked good again and the trees resplendent in their gowns of green with leaves waving in the breeze. A particularly special song began to play and she sat back with a big smile basking in the glow of vizbulation, for now, that was all that mattered.

Happy Halloween to one and all! So when your doorbell rings turn up the music it just might be Frankie, Wolfie, Drac, Mummy, and the rest of the gang come for a rocking good time and some blood-red punch. Enjoy, grab a ghoul, and do some wild dancing while waiting for trick-or-treaters.
