One Hit Wonders of Yesteryear Part One
Another little series this one about one-hit wonders. It is surprising to note that all of these songs are memorable but just had their one shining moment for the artists and no other great hits followed. This is the first post in this series. I will add the links below as I go along.

Sensational Samoa
Samoa is officially known as the Independent State of Samoa. It is a Polynesian island country that consists of two main islands Savai’i and Upolu. There are two smaller, uninhabited islands Manono and Apolima as well as several other smaller and uninhabited islands. These islands are located 2,600 miles southwest of the US state of Hawaii. The capital and largest city is Apia. The Samoan Islands were discovered and settled by the Lapita people who developed a Samoan language and cultural identity.

The Haunted Movie Theaters of Hollywood
It seems that spirits or ghosts seem to enjoy not only the theater but also watching movies. Many of these ghosts have chosen to haunt Hollywood movie theaters. They can be former actors or actresses or even staff members of the theaters.

Hometown New York City Brooklyn
For people living in small to mid-size hometowns, it is easy to write about their towns. However, for someone like me who was born and raised in New York City, it is rather difficult. Therefore I will look upon the borough of Brooklyn as my small town away from the teeming streets of Manhattan and the other boroughs. If you know about Brooklyn and find a neighborhood missing it is just that I wrote about all the ones I knew and where I have been. I was born in a very quiet corner of Brooklyn called Bay Ridge so I began my tour there. As I continue I will paste the links of the neighborhoods I have written about below.

The Ghosts of Arizona
Big Nose Kate’s Saloon is located in the center of Allen Street which is the main street running through Tombstone. Tombstone was founded on a mesa between the Dragoon and Huachuca Mountains after Ed Schieffling who was a prospector found a rich deposit of silver. From 1880 to 1889 Tombstone was a booming silver mine town. The town has a colorful history one memorable event is the shoot-out at the O.K. Corral between Wyatt Earp and his posse and the Clayton & McLaury gang which has also been depicted in westerns.

Amazing Cook Islands
Rarotonga, the visible tip of a volcanic cone is among the most visited places in the Cook Islands. There are beaches, resorts, cultural attractions, and cafes. The island is surrounded by coral reefs. A narrow lagoon offers a place for swimming and snorkeling.
