i'm sick of myself.
I feel this way too often. Like wires wrapping around my neck and choking me to death. Only the wires are my own hands, my own heart, my own mind that spins with thoughts--too many feelings that chop down the threads I hang by.

Me.
Dear me, They said write a thank you letter to your hero. And, at first, I thought of the obvious choices: celebrities, activists, parents, loved ones. But then I thought again, realizing none of them are my heroes... I mean, thinking about it, it's not that they couldn't not become my heroes. But a hero, to me, is someone who really has saved you in some way. Even if it was something small they did, I would've cherished their help. But I've never really given anyone the chance to help me, because I help myself or try to ignore the problem completely.

I sat in the sand for a very long time, simply looking out on the blue horizon hazed with red, yell0w, and orange. Waves crashed over themselves, the wind whistling its own little tune. Seagulls cawed at each other as they flew from place to place, and yet even with all these things going on around me, I didn't pay attention to anything.
