The Dark Harbinger
I walked outside one day, it was hot and humid in the middle of the summer. It was also broad daylight and as I was going about doing chores, I started hearing an owl hooting close to me. It sounded as if it was only about 30 feet away at the edge of the barn. I tend to stay away from this barn. First of all is not on our property even though it's very close to our house. It's on the other side of the fence. In addition, it is also creepy. My kids have explored it a couple of times. It's weird because it's abandoned but is in great condition. It would be a perfectly good barn for hay or whatever else people use barns for. I looked closer in the open door of the barn and I could see the owl. He was just staring at me and it gave me goosebumps all over my body.

Still Waters Run Deep
Everyone loves a good ghost story, at least when they are safe and warm in their bed. It is easy to enjoy a scare when you know it is just the product of someone's imagination. However, when you are surrounded by a mystery that no one will believe, it is less than enjoyable. In fact it is downright terrifying. The small community of Southdale found themselves surrounded by a dark mystery in the summer of 1984. This is their story. I found this twisted tale in some old newspaper articles I came across while doing research for my next book. I became mesmerized and maybe a little obsessed with what I discovered on that old microfiche. So I hunted down the leads that were presented in the articles and did some more digging of my own. What I dug up was haunting and too intriguing of a story to not pass it on. This ghost story is a little different than the usual tales of men with hook hands and headless horsemen. It is laid out for you here, in the form of my research and excerpts from the original newspaper articles that sparked my curiosity.

The People Dis-pleaser
I thought I had the perfect family. I know, lots of people say that but I truly believed it until about three years ago. Since then, I have seen the judgemental faces behind the masks and the hidden agendas. The recognition of this has been a roller coaster ride and a terrifying one at that, one in which, I was the only rider. It seemed fun at first but then it got out of control; I got sick to my stomach and I couldn’t get off. The operator of this ride was now saying they had no way to stop it, so I was forced to jump into the great unknown.

The Aquarium and That F*#*'n Blue Light
Twin Flame...that word, I used to love it but now, somedays it feels like a prison sentence. Four years ago, I had never even heard of Twin Flames. In fact, if someone explained to me what it was; I would have laughed in their face. This Twin Flame journey is difficult, to say the least. I've had lots of relationships that are like an emotional rollercoaster. This, "twin flame" journey is like the teacups ride. At first it feels fun and like you are seeing the world from a whole new perspective. Then suddenly, you start feeling nauseous but when you try to even sit up there is a strong force holding you in place. Panic sets in as you realize you have no control over this experience. You can slightly change the direction by working very hard to "steer" the chaos. Then comes the puking. On one had you know you got to get it out, but you also know if you do it is going to end up all over your face. Which results in an extremely unpleasant experience; being forced to just hold the puke in your mouth. I was reluctant to discuss my twin flame story because I know how crazy it sounds. Especially to those unaware of the higher dimensions around us at all times. However, due to the challenges of this connection I decided my story needed to be shared to help others.

The Running
They were just another happy couple sitting out on a Veranda in Spain. Susie and Mark were on their delayed honeymoon, after an impromptu wedding. Susie had never heard the term shot-gun wedding. The morning of the nuptials her older brother explained to her that a shot-gun wedding was when the father of the (pregnant) bride to be, held the groom at gun point. Susie didn't think it was very funny given the circumstances. On top of that if anyone was being held at gun point it was herself, with her mother holding the gun. It was right after the wedding that the world went on lock-down and then changed forever. The world wide time out and subsequent reset was the cause of the delay in travel plans.

The Chocolate Cake Taste Test
Grandma Onie was definitely on the downward slope now. We were all sad as we left the nursing home, worrying that this might be the last time we saw our grandmother. I just want to get back home and watch some YouTube; I mean who in their right mind wants to spend the afternoon with their mother and little brother in an “old folks” home. Just before we got home a thought popped in my head, “I wonder what story Grandma was talking about, when she said no one would ever believe it.” Mom that grandma had lots of interesting stories and someone really should write them down. My mind kept returning to this throughout the night. The next morning when I opened my eyes, I knew I was going to be the one to record those stories and pass them on.

The Pleiadian Project
I have always had a creative flare within me. Especially during my childhood, I would spend hours upon hours creating art projects for my loved ones. My favorite thing to make was cutting hearts out of construction paper. They would be of various sizes and colors, then I would stack them one on top of another. It would be alternating colors and, in my mind, it was a cool 3-D effect. I would make all kinds of things by myself upstairs at my grandmother’s house. I was basically an only child because my siblings were 12 and 20 years older than me. My grandma always bought the best of everything. Now anyone who has cut construction paper knows that a quality pair of scissors makes a huge difference. Not just in how the project ends up looking but in the level of frustration within the creator. I did not really appreciate the quality of my artistic tools until I got fully immersed in my newest creative venture, Project Pleiades. This is a project that brings me back to the artistic solitude I felt when I was a child. It’s a bittersweet feeling because I do enjoy being alone and creating something that is meaningful to me but it does get lonely. The loneliness gets thicker and harder to swallow when you want to share your craft with someone and then no one is interested.

The Best Things Come in Three's
In my life I am blessed to have three strong, loving women who have each played the motherly role in my life. They are very different from one another but each of them serves a very specific purpose in my life. One of them is still here on the Earthly plane but the other two have transitioned beyond the confines of this word. Those two, I still feel around me every day. Especially on those days when I am struggling the most.

Do We Have to Spell it Out for You?
Mike was standing in line waiting to board the flight, he was hoping he didn’t look as awkward as he felt. To the people who were outside his own head he didn’t look awkward at all. He was a good looking guy, in his late 30’s with blonde hair, greenish-blue eyes and an inviting yet mysterious smile. He had always been popular with the ladies but struggled with keeping guy friends. He could make plenty of acquaintances but his cutting humor and weird ways seemed to drive away everyone except romantic partners. Those he had to beat off with a stick. Turns out you can be as weird as you want when you're successful, handsome and amazing in bed. He is normally very confident but the cause of his awkwardness this day is his lack of female companionship on this vacation. He had traveled for work alone many times, but this felt foreign to him. The trip was a vacation he planned with his ex-girlfriend over a year ago. It was already bought and paid for, no take backs; so he was alone and feeling out of place.

Hometown Special of the Day...Death
My hometown and I have a love/hate relationship, but as the saying goes nothing worthwhile is easy. Many times, I have moved away and boldly stated, “I am never going to live in that tiny town again”. However, a force or circumstances have always drawn me back home. So, what is it about this one store town that keeps this adventurous chick coming back for more, death. Ok, wait don’t run away and think I’m just some crazy woman, stick around for the story and the bittersweet relationship with death.
