Too Lazy To Learn
I think we are all guilty of this to varying degrees. Often it's because the learning process is time consuming , expensive and even difficult. Sometimes it's because it's time consuming. While I can doodle about on most musical instruments I can't actually play apart from basic rhythm accompaniments and maybe the odd simple solo. However something like Trace Bundy's take on Pachelbel's "Canon" just leaves me awestruck. Learning takes practice, time and dedication.

Fallen Angel
This is about no one in particular apart from those who always look out for others and are seen as being strong , and therefore not needing any love and support for anyone, then people wonder why they fall and disappear. They give everything , ask for nothing and that’s what they end up with.

Tears of A Clown
This is a list of songs that might make me cry at times, this is probably just me but crying is a good release, and I hope you feel free to cry and get rid of unhappiness. It won’t be a huge playlist and there will be repetitions from other posts. The Smokey Robinson song is appropriate because my tears could definitely be described as the “Tears of A Clown”.

The Benefits of the Windows Clipboard
Note this only refers to a Windows based computer setup. Other operating systems may have similar facilities or tools but this only refers to the Windows one. Also sorry for the long introduction , if you scroll down to the end you will find what you really need to know. I often see articles on Google about “Bob Dylan’s Favourite Beatles Songs” and if you try to read them you often give up in exasperation before you reach the first song. Hopefully this is not that bad, and maybe those writers have a word count target too.

Pretty
This is hopefully a poem about having confidence in yourself , having self belief , trusting the friends and family who love you and not giving time to unconstructive critics and spiteful haters. We all make mistakes and we either have to make amends or forgive ourselves although sometimes neither solution is an option, but always look for positives and hold on to those.

This House Is Not Haunted
I’ve done one Halloween playlist and seen that others are doing second and third ones. I think if you actually include videos , it takes a little more effort , though not quite the real time I had to put in making mix tapes in the seventies. I am amazed when I think of what I did then , I would think of nothing splicing cassette tape with glue and scissors to make recordings , something my fingers could not even consider now.

I'm Sticking With You
Since I’ve started with Vocal many times my destructive side has urged me to leave the groups , unfriend and block those that mean the most to me and maybe even stop writing , and just be dark and miserable. I actually believe there are people who feel I deserve that, and that has come from life in general.The reality is there may be one or two but there are always that sort of person about and when there are a thousand people bigging us up why do we give any time to the haters. Just brush them aside, they may not even exist

Avalon Sister
My Muse is magical to me, we talk and chat on many subjects and after we talk about literally anything , it could be about washing up , wildlife , music or a favourite play , I am refuelled and ready to write again. How does this happen? She spreads her magic on me , that is all I can say.

How To Get Noticed On Vocal
On an almost daily basis I get asked how can someone improve their performance and get more reads on their Vocal posts. I do not promote myself much on Social media and my work is seldom shared. I also receive a lot of unconstructive criticism telling me my work is rubbish , full of spelling and grammatical mistakes and I should remove my stories and am not welcome in the groups.

The Water Hole (A Conclusion)
This was requested by Jason Basaraba , a conclusion to The Water Hole , my entry into the Vocal Foggy Waters Challenge. I really hope this lives up to expectations , but we will see. I have taken a few terms from the Philip Pullman “His Dark Materials” books which will fit in with the general story.

He is just getting that hang of things and eventually I got my phone number to him and yesterday we spoke for the first time , and spent forty five minutes chatting about a lot of things.
