The Thirteenth Month
Introduction This is a Seven Days In Post from December 2020 (pre Vocal for me) about the use of Imperial Measures and why we have ended up with twelve months in our year, which don't really fit and we have to adjust once every four years to make sure our timekeeping stays on track.

An Arboreal Playlist
Introduction In the seventies, I knew of a band called Trees but dismissed them as another folk band, but recently one of the Facebook groups I am in posted one of their songs and I was so impressed that I bought the fiftieth-anniversary collection above, and have been mightily impressed by their work, and given the live songs on here they are still with us in some form (with more original members that the Human League).

Watching The Waves
Looking out at the sea, it has been raining, and the wind is still blowing, whipping up the waves into an amazing shape as they crash against the concrete pier, like the feathers of some giant prehistoric bird before falling back to become one with the sea and waves once more.

Dear Friend
Introduction This is an attempt at a plagiaristic poem using the words in the waiting room at Preston Station where I am once a month. Although I will try to stitch them into a series of rhyming quatrains, I will post this in Serve rather than Poets as I feel that is more appropriate, though it does mean I have to flesh it out to six hundred words.
