My Midnight Drabble
The Midnight Feast Candles flickered on silver trays. Grapes glistened, cakes steamed, and a roast turned by itself. I sat barefoot in moonlight, surrounded by creatures in gowns and masks—foxes, hares, a boy with stars for eyes. Laughter echoed like wind in silk. I ate cherries that bled ink, drank from a goblet that refilled with my favorite taste. Someone whispered, “Don’t wake up.”But I did.
