Yesterday’s Moon, Tomorrow’s Sunset
We live in hope of better times

Yesterday’s Moon, Tomorrow’s Sunset
Yesterday’s moon came through the gap
in curtains I forgot to close
I sat on the edge of my bed and thought
about everything I didn’t show
The room was still, the world moved on
but I stayed stuck between two days
with too much weight and too few words
and silence filling every space
That moon saw things I didn’t say
the ache that lives behind my eyes
the breath I held, the hours I lost
pretending I was fine with lies
Tomorrow’s sunset won’t ask why
it’ll blaze the sky and fade to black
and I’ll be walking, head held low
just trying not to look back
No music plays, no drama here
just tired feet on concrete ground
the promise of a quiet end
and hope that never makes a sound

This is a poem that will lead one to think more about things. Good job.
pondering better days while looking at the moon-this is great
