Bio
I currently work as a thatcher, but love the art of writing a narrative, currently I am working on putting my ideas onto paper and creating a book. In the meantime I create short stories to keep myself, fiancée and two dogs entertained.

A Crown in Shadows. Top Story - October 2024.
The river ran backwards on the day the Queen vanished, and it would continue to do so, until her Majesty’s funeral had concluded. The funeral hadn’t yet begun, in fact, the rivers in the Queendom of Lubel running backwards was the first sign to her people that Her Majesty had passed. Members of royalty don’t just vanish in Lubel, it is the first of the three stages of a Monarch’s death.

The Artist
The first time Vinnie knew he was different was when he was 7. Drawing was always Vinnie's specialty, one night he drew a small UFO, a perfectly circular disc with a bubble atop the centre. Inside was an alien waving, as the ship was beaming up a sheep - he thought a person would be difficult, and a horse or cow seemed too big. The very next day, Vinnie was out on a walk with his family, in the distance, off to his right over a field, Vinnie saw the exact same UFO he'd drawn the day before, and it was beaming up a sheep.

Small town fever dream. Top Story - August 2024.
Tank stood over the bodies. There were three, and he knew them all. Were they still people? A difficult question for him to answer, and not the first question he expected his brain to fish out of the questions he had swimming around in his head.

Mother Nature Results
Hi all, First of all I want to say a massive thank you to the 8 entrants with their 9 entries! My partner and I have enjoyed each and every one of them and I plan on doing another challenge soon! Choosing a top 3 was very difficult, we had to go with a rating system out of 10, every single entry could have made it into the top 3, but between myself and my partner we had to make a decision.

The Adronaut. Top Story - August 2024.
“I REPEAT, WE ARE ABOUT TO BE BOARDED. ALL GUARDS TO THEIR STATIONS. OVER AND OUT.” The mechanical tone to the man's voice, accentuated by the tannoy system he was talking through, blared through the ship. Not one person on board would have, or could have missed that warning.
