Allegation
"Are you serious? This has to be a joke!" "We aren't known for our sense of humour, sir." Ronnie gripped the door frame, half in anger and half to stop himself collapsing. He could have invited them in, he supposed, but screw that. The room was poly enough as it was. Let them stand out there in the corridor.

Nona. Top Story - September 2025.
I should have ignored the knock on the door. I should have stayed there in my pyjamas and my old lady cardigan, my left eye throbbing. I should have stayed under my blanket, chain-eating snacks, and drowning my last emotion in whiskey.

Escape From Wetherby Close
I’ll tilt my head so she can see the ruin of my scalp and I’ll say, She tricked us both. She has to help me, right? She’s a woman. She’ll see the blood in my hair, and feel shock, or pity. She’ll say, come in, and let’s get you cleaned up. Or she’ll see the three kids and she won’t be able to refuse us help. Surely, she’ll let me stay for a night, use her phone, call the police...

A Pillar on Wetherby Close
All the Wetherby stories in one place, for your enjoyment and ease of reference. Short & long can both be satisfying I’ve written all these so each one can be enjoyed as a stand alone story, or they can be read as a series. I would recommend reading in order, if you’re reading more than one.

Disaster on Wetherby Close
The spoon clinks against the mug and I don’t remember picking it up. I’m halfway through stirring when I realize I hate tea. Or maybe I don’t. Maybe that was someone else. The mug is chipped. I remember buying it. I remember hating it. I remember never seeing it before. My skin feels full. I want to climb out of it.
