All the Wetherby stories in one place, for your enjoyment and ease of reference.

Short & long can both be satisfying

I’ve written all these so each one can be enjoyed as a stand alone story, or they can be read as a series. I would recommend reading in order, if you’re reading more than one.

I do get a bit put off by serieses. (Yes I have commitment issues, and no, I don't know the plural for series, which is already a plural. So sue me). For that reason, in general, I’ve kept them fairly short, and made it so you can just read one if that's what you prefer, and it should make sense. Does it work? Who even knows. Your feedback is welcome.

The exceptions: "I Love it Here" is longer, as it's a challenge entry. "Vanilla" and "Vanilla cont'd" are really two halves of the same instalment.

Use of AI

Full disclosure - these are written by me, not by AI. That said, I have had some conversations with it to get a feel for how it “talks”. It made me feel grubby, but it was research. I took great pleasure in calling it a moron, prick and shitwhistle. You know, to see how it would respond to being insulted, or to escalating anger. I repeat: research.

Fun fact: it doesn't help in any way whatsoever. Not that intelligent then.

I was also intrigued by how easy it was to use that language, because, as Nona says, it’s not really a person.

Do our interactions with, and reliance on, AI make us less human?

The goal here was to not be able to fully like or dislike any of the prominent characters. To start out feeling sorry for them, and then end up thinking screw that person. Or to start out disliking them, and then start feeling sympathy.

As always, thank you for reading!

I’ve read them all! Such an exciting ride, and I’m glad you’ve put this together for those who come to this saga from a midpoint.
