The Green Inferno
Ch.1 Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. As wails continue to be heard throughout the abyss of the galaxy as an unspeakable horror continues to escalate on the desolate planet of Amazonite. A remote planet known for its lush green but treacherous environment which was how the planet got its name. It is still a new planet discovered by earth and it has only been 10% explored due to the thick dense swampy jungles that pretty much take up the whole planet. The first set of explorers described there being possibility of large amounts of life however there are still some species that have yet to make their presence known. As well as the exotic plant life which has shown a lot of promise to possibly restoring a whole ecosystem to another planet. The reason why the plant life is so unique because the explorers discovered that the same trees and flora have been alive for over a billion years. There have been no signs of new plant evolving overtime its as if the same species is able to live on without the effects of harsh disease or large environmental changes. This is what has captivated a team of researchers that are off on a mission to Amazonite to look for a particular root plant that one of the last explorers Dr. Harry Livingston described in a journal that he wrote 50 years ago could be the key to helping restore all the plant life to another planet. Earth has taken a turn for the worse a lot of the planet green ecosystem is dying due to climate change and a lot plant disease have developed that is killing thousands of trees by the day. However, Livingston described when he came across with what he called “the Lazarus Root” was able to help heal and restore life to another plant species that was dying. It is also a tree itself and it carries a lot of spores when it blooms and blossoms can spread to other plants. When the last team explored all those years ago they were only there for a few days which seemed pretty odd it was as if they were in a big hurry to go or something had chased them off the planet.

For My Uncle
When I hear the words dad or father, I instantly think of the one and only father figure I could ever know and love in my life. That person was my uncle Tony my dads youngest brother. I still have no idea where to even begin my story with him other he was an exceptionally remarkable man who had a lot of pride and determination to always to what was right. But most importantly he also knew how to be a leader and a true model for all those that knew him including myself. Before he was married and had children of his own I unexpectedly became his first when he took me in during a time I needed him the most.

Wine with the Dead
(To protect my privacy and courtesy of my employers the locations of these places are kept under anonymity) From the time when I was a child, I was always the biggest believer in the paranormal, but I soon grew out of that phase as I got older. But unbeknownst to me that as soon as I took my first steps into that world it would not be easy to let go of so easy. Over the course of time, I’ve experienced so many paranormal encounters that they have become my own ghost adventures. I’ve seen things, heard things, and felt things but, my first hardcore paranormal experience that made a true believer once again happened at my first vineyard job in the Maryland Virginia area.

The Owl of Athena
When I wake up each morning, and when I look at myself in the mirror, I keep telling myself that I am a fighter and don’t give up. Each day is like a battle for me, as I continue to face new challenges and obstacles. It’s almost like a never-ending war, but the war is not just with others but it’s also with me. About 6 months ago I suffered a traumatic injury while playing soccer, I was going for the goal when out of the blue one of the rival players kicks both my feet right from under me, and I landed in the worst way possible. The minute I heard the snap when I hit the ground, I knew it was bad. At first the doctor said I would make a full recovery within 2 months but after resting for a while and taking it easy there hadn’t been any signs of improvement. He then told me that sometimes it is very rare to not recover as fast as most other people. I then asked him what are the chances of me making a full rec before the start of the new season? He has no idea what to tell me because he’s never had a patient like me before with this problem. All he tells is that we will just have to take it one day at a time and see what happens. That answer is something that I could not accept. Because this upcoming year is where I could be looked at by future colleges to play soccer on a full scholarship. It’s been a big dream of mine to play soccer in college just like my sister who plays for Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

My Wish
This is the story of me…how I lived…how I died…how I was saved…and how I was reborn. They say that there is a special kind of love that happens only once in a lifetime. I don’t even know myself how I got so lucky to have found the man of my dreams. Some say its fate and that everyone deserves to find their happy ending-unfortunately for me and my beloved that’s not exactly how it happened, at least not the first time which soon led to a second chance. I thought the first time I lived I had everything I could ever wish for but, little did I know that on the day that I died I made a wish that proved that not only do dreams and wishes come true, but that love is eternal and lasts forever. But let’s start from the top my name is Genevieve Cromwell and this is my story.

Italy Meets Germany
In our everyday lives it is crucial that we go out an explore the world because there is so much to world then just staying in one place. I believe everyone should be able to get out and explore it. But it’s not only the new places that people get to explore but it’s the culture itself that makes the destinations so inspiring and rich. Most importantly what helps bring cultures and worlds together is food. The culture of food from around the world plays a big role in how we live our everyday lives. Since the beginning of time the influence of food from around the world has brought people together. Whether it’s a holiday or a family get together, it’s what brings us together as we are all able to sit down with one another and discuss what goes on in our everyday lives.

The Light meets the Sea!
June 19th, 2221 I have lost track of the days since our world was forever changed by the sea. Some say that this is the second Genesis, others think this happened because the world is always changing, but no this was all humanities doing. The polar ice caps that once kept our planet cool have all melted! Little did I know during that one hot summer life was never going to be same. I still remember the day it happened, while we were all sleeping, we woke to streets flooded with water. My parents thought it was an unexpected rainstorm but as we turned on the news we were shocked to see that Wilmington was gone as it was engulfed by the sea. Soon after that New York City was about 50 feet underwater, that was when the bitter truth came into the light that this was the end. I knew it wouldn’t be long until my hometown Fairhope would soon face the same fate. I wasn’t the only one thinking that as well, my parents were too. There was so much stress and anxiety racing through my mind I was wondering how are we all going to continue to live. My father could not stop pacing back and forth as the clock was ticking and by the time he came up with a solution I was afraid we would already drown by then. But it was obvious what we would do…we need a boat. I know what he was thinking if we are going to survive we have no choice but to steal a boat. At this point it was every man for itself and it was live or die at this point. My father made the choice and even though my mother was hesitant at first she knew there was no other option.

The Story
I believe everyone on this earth deserves to have a voice, and that voice doesn’t just come from talking, a voice can also be read. Whether it can be read visually like through art with expression and creativity or even through dance with movement and emotion. It’s not just the sounds or words we say that lets us speak freely but, its how we let out our thoughts and feelings to the world. That’s when we struggle to find that inner voice that just wants to be heard. This is where that old saying “that actions speak louder than words” comes to life and that it is true. This was how I found my inner voice and I wanted to take action to show the people around me that I do have a voice and that was through my creative writing. There was once a time where I felt like I did not have a voice and it took a long journey for me to get to where I am to the point where I can now speak freely with no fear of any judgement.
