When Technology Drowns the Voice
Modern, automated world. Mad machines that beep. Attention-demanding. Time-stealing. Movement-restricting little devils. The washing machine that beeps it’s done. The oven that tells you the food is ready. Why doesn't the laundry basket tell you when it's full? Humans should not think. Senses disengaged.

The Taste of Connection
Eggs, flour, sugar, meat, potatoes, cold cuts, paper towels, candy, a bottle of rosé wine. It’s Friday. The day Simon allows himself to indulge. He plans to bake a cake when he gets home and enjoy the warmth from the oven while he prepares dinner in his large, bright kitchen, savoring the taste of the cool rosé.

What can you say? There are no words that can provide comfort in that moment. I was standing with my dog by the roadside. My good friends had stopped their car and told me they were on their way to a larger nearby city so that my friend could have an urgent CT scan.
