When Technology Drowns the Voice
A call for human contact instead of automation

Modern, automated world.
Mad machines that beep.
Attention-demanding.
Time-stealing.
Movement-restricting little devils.
The washing machine that beeps it’s done.
The oven that tells you the food is ready.
Why doesn't the laundry basket tell you when it's full?
Humans should not think.
Senses disengaged.
Where’s the app that beeps for human contact now?
Face to face.
See a person.
Hear a story.
Feel a presence.

I miss the good old days, for the most part
Amazing - and so true!
Herregud! What a raw piece of reality, the one I am constantly avoiding in my dreamland. I subscribed. I found you via the Pride group and am one in the same person; I write using a pseudonym here as I am also pursuing a latent career writing young adult and children's novels and I can be quite controversial. Excellent piece!
Ah! the good old days when we actually had to think. Thanks, Henrik , I enjoyed this expose.
Sounds about right. I miss the low tech times for this reason 🥺
Thought-provoking. Humans are made for connection. Thank you for sharing!
