How Old is too Old?
If you are female then this is for you, does not matter the age. Think back in your life where some of these questions were presented to you. "Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?" "At what age do you want children?" "What age will you get married?" I just turned 26 this year and lately I have been feeling like I am sitting here while my life is just passing me by. I have always been excited for my Birthday to roll around each year however, this year was different. I was thinking back to High School when they asked me one of those heart-stopping questions. I replied "in 5-10 years, I will be out of school and by 23 I will find my soul mate, 25 I will have a stable career and be married and by 26 I will have my first child." Well I'm 26 and I just went through a breakup. I am out of school, but I don't have my career started yet. Everything went the complete opposite of what I had written in my Lisa Frank notebook, in High School.

OPIOIDS, The Good The Bad and The Ugly
It took me a long time to get to the point where I was comfortable enough to be open about my addiction. I was in denial for so long and I could not come to terms, that something like that would ever happen to me. I understand now that God had me go through it, to touch someone else, that may be going through the same thing.

The Girl in room 307 Pt. 2
Carlie finally made it to Springsdale and with her mom's warm embrace she felt her anxiety subside little by little, the tight band that was around her started to unravel. She finally caught her breath for the first time since the breakup. That night was the first time she really slept, until she started thinking about reality and her future. Sitting in room 307 all alone, with the quietness around her closing in. The thought of people in her small town finding out about the breakup taunted her. Phrases such as "there are plenty of fish in the sea," "you were way better than him anyway," and "being alone is a good thing." All of these words swirled around in her head and made her physically ill. She did not want to hear these words and she wanted to figuratively strangle the next person who said something. Carlie was a different type of girl, instead of wanting to talk about her feelings she kept them in, not forever but just for a while. It was too painful to talk about what happened, or to say the name of her now ex boyfriend. Saying his name felt like a knife stabbing her over and over again. She knew she would finally get to a point where she could say his name without vomiting but right now that point felt like lightyears away.

Overcoming mental and Emotional Abuse
Abuse can come in many different forms, Physical, mental, emotional, or even disguised as controlling behavior. No matter which one you have dealt with, abuse is abuse!! there is not one that is more serious than the other. That is what is wrong with society today. For one; abuse is overlooked and silenced, but for two there is the factor of Physical abuse being worse than the others. But little do these people know, usually abusers start out with control then emotional then escalate to physical. Something my biological dad always told me is mental abuse sticks with a person forever. Physical wounds may heal but the abusive words stick with that person for a long time, and they start to believe the things that are being said to them.

The Girl In Room 307
She lays in her bed at nigth crippled by the thought of going back to her one-horse town, called Lindel. The thought of facing reality after bing in the city of Springsdale was a daunting task. This wasn't your typical vacation for this small-town girl. One day prior to this last-minute vacation, Carlie's boyfriend broke up with her. Deep down she thought he was the last thing she had left. She did not have any family or close friends in home town and this was finally going to break her, or so she thought.
