Only So An Hour
Frost's rule comes to pass: beauty, gold, drops by briefly; lives and leaves abide. * * * * * AUTHOR'S NOTE: Thank you so much for reading this haiku! It was written primarily as an homage to the great Robert Frost's "Nothing Gold Can Stay," a lovely, melancholy, and seasonally reflective poem (which so happens the first poem I ever memorized!). I was so excited when I realized his own last name could function with double, seasonally appropriate meaning in this little piece. Anyhow, thanks again for stopping by - I hope the shifting seasons treat you well, friend!
