The Saving Knowledge
It was Sunday like always in Mrs. Albertine's Classroom and the children were eager to learn. They wanted to know why it was important to be saved. They wanted to know why salvation was important apart of life. And so they bombarded Mrs. Albertine with questions. They did not know how prepared and well spoken Mrs. Albertine was. She was an older teacher and she had lived her life teaching about what it means to be saved as her family were missionaries. Mrs. Albertine began with easy and she said Do you know about George Washington? And the class all knew. He was baptized as an infant and, while his adult religious beliefs were complex and sometimes ambiguous, he continued to attend services, was biblically literate, and used language that indicated belief in the Christian God, including a phrase that affirms Jesus's divinity. Washington's hero was Jesus Christ even throughout all his ordeal with constant sickness. He believed that Jesus Christ was the way, truth and life. And the class looked in awe. She went on What about Abraham Lincoln? and the class wondered. Abraham Lincoln never officially became a Christian by joining a church, but his faith deepened over time, particularly during the Civil War, and he expressed a growing belief in a divine plan. His faith was influenced by grief, the Bible. Lincoln loss his mother at an early age which dampened his faith. Lincoln had a hard life but he counted his blessings along the way and he believed that God was a comforter. What about Harriet Tubman? And the class wondered. Tubman became a devout Christian through her religious upbringing, an injury in her youth that caused visions she believed were from God, and her deep study of the Bible. She did not let nothing set her back not afflictions not even being born as a slave. She fought because she believed that God had a purpose for her. She dedicated her life to helping others. What about Frederick Douglass? Frederick Douglass became a Christian through a profound, personal conversion as a teenager, fueled by his desire to read the Bible and guided by a spiritual mentor named Mr. Lawson. He was taught to read by a slaveholder's wife and later encountered a Black lay preacher who awakened him to prayer, but it was through his friendship with Mr. Lawson that he developed his faith and hope for freedom. Douglass was curious about God even born in slavery and he did not regret learning the Bible at an early age and learning it over and over again. And being a well outspoken advocate for morals, justice and unity. What about Martin Luther King? Martin Luther King Jr. was raised in the Baptist faith and joined his family's church, Ebenezer Baptist, at age five, but his commitment to Christianity deepened through his theological education and the influence of educators like Benjamin E. Mays. It takes faith to make a great leader. Faith in God to make someone able to do the impossible. Class no matter what your upbringing you must receive the knowledge of Jesus Christ. That knowledge is hope and inspiration. It tells you to love your neighbor as yourself. It tells you to not be afraid of predicaments. It tells you how to be assured in your faith. It tells you how to love someone who done you so wrong. It tells you to be bold for justice. It tells you do something that may not seem right but turns out alright. You cannot just stop doing good. You cannot stop achieving for righteousness. You got to go higher. You got to go deeper. You got to continue until it is finished, done and over. And there is always something bigger to climb, something lower to go, just look to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Dad's Program
I usually never tell the story of my brother. My brother was wild and out of control. He would let nothing stop him. He was usually the favorite. And he did not like being told what to do. My brother got into a lot of trouble being that way. Like the old saying goes a hard head makes a soft bottom probably because all those spankings from Mom and Dad. My brother would always try to find a way out of that. It's like he would come up with some plan, some scheme, or some lie. And Mom and Dad would see straight through that. I never took advice from my brother because he always was the one doing something that would make Mom and Dad angry. And I tried to be the good one. I also tried to be the smart one. I wanted to make Mom and Dad proud of me. I know that seem a little vain but that's what I want my parents to think of me. My brother did not care. My brother always had an aggressive issue or tantrums. He was like the opposite of me. And everyone knew that and even everyone would say that. I like the good reputation while my brother like the bad reputation. We were brothers and even DNA could prove that but we were so different. I think it's because my brother was angry about being the younger. He did not like being treated dumbly. And he despised being treated like a child. So he would fight back doing dumb things that made him look grown. Mom and Dad would warn him until he did something that had to be punished. And I think they knew he was just trying their patience. Mom and Dad even threatened sending him to bordering school, which they eventually did. And then they found out that he signed up for the Military too. And then they found out that he loved the military and being away from them. So I was treated like the only child and I enjoyed taking care of my parents. And I begin a family of my own, Mom and Dad helped take care of their grandchildren. And Mom and Dad almost forgot about my brother. And this happened for many years, my children started to grow up and they asked me if I had a brother. And I felt guilty and begin asking Mom and Dad about my brother. Mom and Dad said that my brother stop writing years ago. And that they were not worried about him because they received no bad news from the military. And so I asked if he wrote letters. And Mom and Dad gave me the stacks of letters, they were afraid to read them and worry about his health. I read the letters and found out everything about my brother. My brother had a family and many children. He loved living overseas. He found faith in God. He found hope and love. He was changed. He was cured. And he planned on coming back but he did not hear from us. So he thought we did not want to be bothered with him again and that was the last letter. And just after weeks of reading, those letters that were sought for many years, Dad had a major stroke. And Mom was with him in the hospital, it happened after I called to talk to him. And so I took my family to the hospital and there was my brother. And we talked and he found out from Mom who called him because she believed that my father would never recovered. And Mom interrupted us and said we better say our last goodbyes. And so my brother rushed in and said Dad I am sorry and I love you. And I said I love you. And Dad said love ya. Then he died and Mom included me at Dad's funeral. She thought my brother did not want to do anything. My brother took the mic to say his last goodbyes and sung Grateful by John P. Kee. And my brother's family stood up and Mom cried and I cried and so did my family. And the family was back together, Mom loved hugging my brother and she hugged me too

Apart of a Family
The Struggles were a big family. And there were many of them. They knew what it was like during hard times. And they knew what it was like during good times. They had many things that they've gone through but it did not stop them. The Struggles kept on moving forward. They kept on doing and they kept on moving forward. They were determined folks. And they did not let nothing stop them. And they would met up with each other. They would talk about their problems. They would solved each other problems. No matter what, Struggles never gave up on life. They were always ready. They were always eager. They were earnest people and fervent people. And they did not mind the challenges that life brought their way. They were prepared and able. They were hopeful. And they never gave up. It was like it was in their blood for a challenge. And they were held strongly together by their matriarch. She kept them strong and able. She kept them hopeful and enduring. She was the source of wisdom and strength. She never disappoints. And if she could not make them think better it was her cooking that brought them together. She could cook just about anything that soothes the soul. She knew exact what would make them at ease. She knew exactly what would take their mind off of their problem and make them focus on what they need to focus. And just everytime they had holiday meals everyone was into the prayer before meals usually hoping for their favorite food to be cook. And it usually was as long as the matriarch was alive and well. But it happened that the matriarch of the Struggles died, she died suddenly because of old age. And many wondered about the family, the Struggles were in for a big struggle. They were not prepared for this. They were not ready for this. It seemed like a major disaster to the family. And the family grieved 30 days after the funeral, many tried to console them but they could not be console. They ate her food but they missed her all the more because it was not like hers. The matriarch's children were greatly disturb and so they talked privately. They tried to work out their issues. They talk on and on while their children played and had fun. They knew that their family was broken. They knew that they could not fix it easily. They were still hurting over their family. They thought their mother had many years left but she did not and it broke them. Then Elder Struggles brought in the pastor of the family church and he prayed. He prayed for the children. He prayed that they healed. He prayed that they be no longer broken. And he prayed for hours over the family. And something happened, the children brought in their children. And they begin to sing We're all apart of God's family by Hezekiah Walker. And many cried like at the funeral, then the children of the matriarch begin testifying about what God has done for them during their struggle. And many kept on humming or crying. And the pastor interrupted the testifying and he prayed out loud over the family. He prayed over the children's children. And he prayed for a long time. And they were relieved. Then he said, God brought you through this, not me. Give Him glory. You see she did not leave you with nothing. She left you with faith. She left you with hope. She left you most importantly with love. Don't let your grief get the best of you. God was with you during your struggles. God was caring for you even in the present. And if you allow him to, he will see you through everyday of your life. Be encouraged people beloved people. And refused to go back, refused to turn around. And they hugged each other and told each other that they loved each other. And once again the memory of the matriarch brought them together.

The Price of my Love
I want you to go higher. I want you to go deeper. I want you to meet your destiny. I want you to know love. I want you to be something Church. There are times you are gonna be tested. There are times you are gonna be tried. Tried even on every side. And nobody oh nobody can see you through but Him. And the church clapped their hands and shouted. I mean there where times that I did not think I could make it. There were times that I could not pass the test but He did it for me. Times where I could not go on but I found the strength in Him. And that is what he would do for you. And everyone said Amen. And Pastor Judge was right at the door of the church shaking hands and encouraging each member. And then there was this man, this young man that called Pastor Judge mother and she honestly did not know him. Junior was his name. He kept calling her mother and the deacons escorted him out of the church. And Pastor Judge was troubled that this young man kept calling her his mother. And the Head Deacon asked the Pastor if they should press charges and she said no, the Spirit did not tell him if I should. I honestly don't know the man. I never met him before. And Pastor Judge put together her hands to pray at her office's desk. And the Head Deacon left. Then Pastor Judge prepared for another sermon. And she was writing about love and she was into it as a deacon knock. She kept on because she was into the writing. And he kept trying to interrupt because the church needed to close. It was late. And she said as she took off her glasses, Even if you have the voice of an angel, even if you move mountains without love it is meaningless. Then she questioned the deacon and he could not answer so he just walk away. And she said Because I love this church. I love my work. I love the Lord that is why I must stay. And she eventually left before the deacons left. And a young man called to her again. And she cried but she did not know why. She thought but could not understand. And he kept saying Mom. Then she just left because she did not know what to do saying I am not your mother. The deacon drove Pastor Judge home. And he repeated halfway through the drive, even if you have the voice of an angel, even if you move a mountain without love it is meaningless. Then he pull into her driveway saying Pastor you are missing something, that is all I am saying. And Pastor Judge said I get it ok, Thank you Deacon. So Pastor Judge went into the sidedoor, walk up the steps and got into her house safely. And the deacon drove away. That night the voice of the young man Junior echo through her heart and mind. It echo through her soul. And she read 2 Corinthians again and again. And then she finally broke down and said Father what am I missing? Show me. And she got up stairs in her house and went to bed. And she dreamed of that young man but he was a boy. And she went through all her life wondering. And then she woke up. And she called deacon and said that's my baby, that's my boy. I thought he was dead. I thought I aborted him but I did not. It was a longtime ago. I thought he was dead. So fourteen days went by, then weeks. And the young man came again at the end of service, and Pastor Judge said Even if you have the voice of an angel, even if you move a mountain without love it is meaningless. Junior you are my son. I don't know how. I don't know why but you are my son. God said you are my son. And he said you paid for me Mom. You paid for my care. You paid for my education. You gave your hard earning money just so I could be safe. And you did it at no charge. I love you Mom. And Pastor Judge shocked as Junior hugged her. And the church applauded. Pastor Judge made him a minister at Love Community Church.

The King inside
I want you to know that you are somebody. I want you to know that you have somewhere to go. I want you to know that you have something to do. I want you to know that you have somewhere to be. And present things are only in the present. There is something that you need to know. There is something that you are missing class. And I want you to think about it. Class dismiss. And they all say Thank you Mr. Michaels. As Mr. Michaels shake everyone of their hands and pat them on the back as the day ends for them. And Mr. Michaels ride his bicycle home because the day is so well. And he's humming his favorite song Someday by Cece and Bebe Winans. And he has a good day meeting and hugging his wife Betta. Betta and Mr. Michaels don't have any children. And they both just moved to Westfield a few years ago. And they had a good private dinner, Betta cook his favorite meal. And then they did their normal at home movie night. Mr. Michaels fell asleep on Betta's lap. And then afterwards Betta watched the news as she was getting up and laying the blanket on her husband on the couch. And she stands close to the TV and tries to turn it down. And she watched in tears and said my Lord oh my Lord. And Mr. Michaels asks Betta what is wrong quietly then he gets up behind her. She tries to turn the TV off of the news. And she says Eager, something happen, something happen to some of the boys in your classroom. And Mr. Michaels was workup and angry, so angry he started cursing. And he demanded to know what happen. And Betta said a molester. And Eager Michaels dropped to his knees and grab the Bible. And he said that's enough Betta go to bed, it's just me and the Lord. And Betta tried to but she left and walk up stairs to bed. And Eager Michaels prayed and prayed asking Lord why? Then the next morning, he was asleep in his yesterday clothes and almost late for work. Betta woke him up after several times. And he woke up surprisingingly, Betta the Lord told me to do something but I may lose my job. You know it's Wednesday and church has a special service Midday. And so Mr. Michaels take the bus with his bicycle. And he is met by the Principal at the bus stop to the school. And the Principal briefed him on the class. And the Principal told him everything that happen and what he should do. And all Mr. Eager Michaels did was said that he think the boys need a field trip. And the Principal agreed but no illegal activity only professional outing that he would allow. And the Principal walk him into his classroom, and the students were shouting. And after the Principal saw they were in good hands, he withdrew. The students had a lot of questions and Mr. Michaels calmed them down. He said let's all calm down. I want to take you to a place that you can come together. I want to take you to a place where you can be strong. I want to take you a place where you can trust. We all are gonna on a field trip right now. And the students were excited and happy. And Mr. William who was a good friend of Mr. Michaels. And Mr. Michaels taught the students a song, He got the whole world in his hands. And he found out some of the boys could sing and that they knew church songs so he smiled. And when they stopped at Westside Healing Community Church. The pastor was shocked and met them and greeted them. And they said they have a special guest. And the kids heard the song and started crying. And they were into the service. And they were prayed on but Mr. Williams tried to hurry up at the end because the school day was about to end however Mr. Michaels did not stop. He prayed and hug the boys and told them that he love each one of them. And that's when he was arrested. And the boys' parents with the Principal and they disturb the church service. Mr. Michaels had to stay a few days in jail until his bail and court date. And so he had a substitute teacher Ms. Day. And class was not the same, the boys were not focus on the classwork. And so Mr. Michaels had visitors in jail besides his wife Betta, it was the boys and their parents. The boys defended Mr. Michaels. And when the parents saw that they cried and dropped the charges. And Mr. Michaels was made an Administrative Teacher and the boys passed his class with good grades.

Lilian's Redemption
I am so happy that I get to see my mother. I always wanted to see my mother since I was young. Mrs. Patsy always told me that I would see my mother one day. I wondered what she would look like. I wondered if her hair was long. And I wondered if she is pretty. Because that's must of been where I got my looks from. I love Mrs. Patsy. She raised me. She took care of me. She was there for me like nobody else. But I need to know where I came from. I need to know the people that made me. It's only natural to want to learn about who you are. I am not denying Mrs. Patsy. I am just wanting to understand who I am. And figure out who I am. Figure out where I belong in this world. Lilian, I am told you a thousand times and I am gonna tell you one more time. You don't want to know this child said Mrs. Patsy. You don't want to know what happen. It is devastating. But you leave me no choice. Mr. Patsy said Go on show the girl. Go on tell the girl. You have hide it so long that you can't tell whether it's the truth or a myth. Shut up Earl. I am trying to spare the girl's feelings. I am trying to stop her from being hurt. And I am trying to be her mother. Mr. Patsy said Well did you spare the girl her feelings. Are you leading her on? Aren't you gonna tell her straight?. Mrs. Patsy yelled Better yet why don't you do it? Since you are so clever and smart. And so truthful. Mr. Patsy said Come on girl. Let's go before she change her mind. Come on Lilian. It's important. And as he drove Lilian in his truck he told her a story, Your mother is as lovely as you. I remember Vivian. She was just as young and so pretty. She could get any man she wanted to. It's just she was so young and innocent. I never thought what would happen would happen. It pains me to my heart. Oh child it pains me. And Leana, Leana my wife would not tell you. I could not believe she would not tell you. But the day is still young and you are ready. What are you feeling child? Lilian said I feel kinda nervous and relief. I never knew my mother and father. I never knew why they left me. I was so young and little. Maybe they never knew. Maybe they were hurt. Maybe they were angry. Maybe they were mad. I don't really know. But I am grateful for you and Mrs. Patsy. You two were angels and I feel blessed to have known you. And Mr. Patsy stopped the truck saying Lilian whatever happen. Whatever comes of this. I hope you don't change. You are a lovely girl. You are special. Don't let this get to you child. If you are the girl that we raised remember you are loved. And he hugged her and put blindfold on her. As they travelled daylight through the cemetery. They walked very far and long. And even with a few almost trips. And finally Mr. Patsy with tears in his eyes knell her down and he knell down. And he said no matter what Lilian you are always a Patsy. And we love you. And Lilian open her eyes and there was her mother's tombstone. And she cried and cried. Even more when she saw the picture of her mother on it. And Mr. Patsy could not console her. And Mrs. Patsy showed up and she tried to console her but she would not. And they argued but Lilian could not believe her mother was dead. And eventually she demanded for her father. And Mrs. Patsy said Well there he is right besides her. They died together on that boat that I told them not to go. And Lilian finally calm down and walk around while Mr. Patsy and Mrs. Patsy watched carefully. And she was quiet. Too quiet. And Mr. Patsy tried to speak to her but she did not talk. And after sometimes after hours, she spoke just when Mrs. Patsy spoke saying I have no mother. I have no father. You are my mother Mrs. Patsy. And you are my father Mr. Patsy. And as they were about to go, she visit the graves of her patents one last time and said I will always love you Mom. And I will always love you Dad. Maybe in Heaven we will get back together. And then she ran to go home with the Patsy Family.

UnCompromising Principles
It was a hot summer day in Georgia. The family was doing well. And the family was very happy and joyous. Everyone was making conversations. And everyone was enjoying the family reunion as Franklin planned. He wanted to see all of his family and spend time with them away from the duties of president. And to reside in the beauty of Georgia. And the family caught up and was happy. And they shared all that they were doing and what they hope for in the new year. I never seen Franklin that happy and I never seen him that relief and relax. He made many conversations and he was hopeful. Then his advisers found him on almost the very last day of the reunion. And they calmly interrupted Franklin. And I encouraged the family to go on and celebrate while Franklin and I were removed for principles' purpose. Mr. President and First Lady you do know that the election is coming up next year. Do you plan on still running for President? And Franklin said I haven't given it much thought. I was so forward-looking to see my family. And some politics in Washington has disturb me. It's like Congress has been a hot tea cup like Washington would say. I want to get things done not be caught in a tough-sent or stall games. I know the people want something to be done. And I feel their hopes and dreams. His advisers said Mr. President the Democratic Presidential Nomination is important. And you are a formidable candidate. You might have a chance of winning another term if you really want to Sir. What do you think Madam First Lady? First Lady Eleanor speaks, This is a sensitive time for Franklin and me. Our family has grown so much and we have missed them dearly. Now I am not blind I understand that our country needs social justice. We need to fight this war. We need to bring peace aboard and at home. We both understand the desperate need for resolved. I think you should give us sometime.. Franklin we have to give it serious thoughts. His advisers said Ok Sir and Madam, please tell us know when you are ready. And the advisers left the Roosevelt's ranch in Georgia. And the Roosevelt's family wanted to know why the advisers were there. And Eleanor explained to them that there was nothing wrong and that it just was national duties. And Roosevelt's children wanted to know the details while supporting their parents. However Eleanor did not want the children to get involved. And everyone else left eventually after the reunion however the Roosevelt's children stood at the ranch. And they demanded that their parents tell them what was going on. Franklin would not break unless Eleanor break. And Eleanor eventually won. Until the media came to the Roosevelt's ranch asking about Dr. Berkley Roosevelt. Dr. Berkley Roosevelt was reported working with Republicans and degrading FDR. He was the total opposite of FDR. He was a stern and mean man that never thought much of his cousin FDR. And the media threatened to published Dr. Berkley Roosevelt's interview. Eleanor tried to hold off the media and denounce Dr. Berkley Roosevelt but FDR was told by their eldest child about the issue. And FDR was so mad that he got up and walk to the door. And he cursed out the media and told them to get the heck off his private property. Eleanor eventually got him inside. And FDR called up his advisers hours and hours. As Eleanor sat in the office of their ranch, then he suddenly hung up. And said Ellie what do you think we should do? Eleanor was nervous got up and walk around with her hand on her chin. And it was morning, and immediately their eldest daughter showed her mother the paper with Dr. Berkley Roosevelt's interview. FDR was worried. And Eleanor tried to convince him till she locked him in the room and she tried to tell him straight, run Franklin run for your dignity. And FDR called up his advisers and he ran for the Democratic Presidential Nomination.

The First Crush
Ah yes. Well thank you Mr. Prime Minister. Yup and I look forward to understanding the needs of your people and representing American interest. Yup it's my pleasure to speak with you . And I hope we can reach an agreement that both of our countries can be satisfied with. Sure I am open to talks with both sides. Sure I am very attentive to this concern. Yeah I would love to have dinner with you and your wife. Excuse me one second. As President Shakespeare removed himself from the phone conversation because his daughter Maaca comes in. Maaca how many times have I told you that Daddy is very busy and have to attend to very important meetings. Dad we have to talk. As the security team comes in to take her away, she says if you touch me there is gonna be some problem. I am not in the mood for you guys. I know your duties better than you and I will talk to your bosses. And so the President signals them to back down. President Shakespeare ends the call quickly with the Prime Minister and direct him to his secretary and the Secretary of State stating that he has an emergency. Ok kiddo sit down and tell me everything. You have the ears of the President. The leader of the free world and your dad. She said well Dad I have been going through some changes. You see I like this guy but I don't know if he likes me. Growing up is not like the way it was when you were growing up. It's harder. Especially for a president's daughter. You have people worried that they would get shot or jailed for dating a president's daughter. And it is lonely in this White House. Well kiddo your mom would love this house. I know you missed her but she is in a better place now. And Mrs. Howard can attend to your needs. I have given her clear instructions to taking care of you. She is a good woman. She is a church woman. Maaca just give her a try. And in walk Benin. Benin acts like he doesn't notice Maaca. And he says Sorry Mr. President but the Secretary of State have some questions for you. And they are urgent and he said that he cannot wait because it concerns the Prime Minister. And President Shakespeare says Ok Kiddo I have some work to do. Would you just try? Promise me you would try. I know we both carry big responsibilities but that does not mean we should forget our duties. I love you. And President Shakespeare hugs his daughter Maaca. And Benin tries to hurry her out but she resisted. And she reminds him that he is there to help her not the other way around. After she leaves the Oval Office Benin asks her what she would like to do. He says that Mrs. Howard is out on presidential duties but she told him to take the first daughter around town escorted by security team. Maaca first is protective and when Benin offers to buy her her favorite candy. as they traveled around town. She opens up and tell him a little about herself and asks him a little about himself. And they go talking and get really into a conversation. They eat lunch at a favorite spot and Maaca asks him about growing up as she is curious. She asks about his first kiss and relationship.
