Apart of a Family
Modern Satire
The Struggles were a big family. And there were many of them. They knew what it was like during hard times. And they knew what it was like during good times. They had many things that they've gone through but it did not stop them. The Struggles kept on moving forward. They kept on doing and they kept on moving forward. They were determined folks. And they did not let nothing stop them. And they would met up with each other. They would talk about their problems. They would solved each other problems. No matter what, Struggles never gave up on life. They were always ready. They were always eager. They were earnest people and fervent people. And they did not mind the challenges that life brought their way. They were prepared and able. They were hopeful. And they never gave up. It was like it was in their blood for a challenge. And they were held strongly together by their matriarch. She kept them strong and able. She kept them hopeful and enduring. She was the source of wisdom and strength. She never disappoints. And if she could not make them think better it was her cooking that brought them together. She could cook just about anything that soothes the soul. She knew exact what would make them at ease. She knew exactly what would take their mind off of their problem and make them focus on what they need to focus. And just everytime they had holiday meals everyone was into the prayer before meals usually hoping for their favorite food to be cook. And it usually was as long as the matriarch was alive and well. But it happened that the matriarch of the Struggles died, she died suddenly because of old age. And many wondered about the family, the Struggles were in for a big struggle. They were not prepared for this. They were not ready for this. It seemed like a major disaster to the family. And the family grieved 30 days after the funeral, many tried to console them but they could not be console. They ate her food but they missed her all the more because it was not like hers. The matriarch's children were greatly disturb and so they talked privately. They tried to work out their issues. They talk on and on while their children played and had fun. They knew that their family was broken. They knew that they could not fix it easily. They were still hurting over their family. They thought their mother had many years left but she did not and it broke them. Then Elder Struggles brought in the pastor of the family church and he prayed. He prayed for the children. He prayed that they healed. He prayed that they be no longer broken. And he prayed for hours over the family. And something happened, the children brought in their children. And they begin to sing We're all apart of God's family by Hezekiah Walker. And many cried like at the funeral, then the children of the matriarch begin testifying about what God has done for them during their struggle. And many kept on humming or crying. And the pastor interrupted the testifying and he prayed out loud over the family. He prayed over the children's children. And he prayed for a long time. And they were relieved. Then he said, God brought you through this, not me. Give Him glory. You see she did not leave you with nothing. She left you with faith. She left you with hope. She left you most importantly with love. Don't let your grief get the best of you. God was with you during your struggles. God was caring for you even in the present. And if you allow him to, he will see you through everyday of your life. Be encouraged people beloved people. And refused to go back, refused to turn around. And they hugged each other and told each other that they loved each other. And once again the memory of the matriarch brought them together.
