NFL Week 3 Recap: Cacophony
There's some big trouble in South Beach right now. So, Week 3 of the 2025 season started with the Buffalo Bills hosting the Miami Dolphins, and when I saw this in the schedule, I went, "Again?" This is the second straight year that this matchup is featured so early on TNF; last year, it was Prime's first game of the season. However, I kinda cringed this year because last year's TNF matchup saw Tua lit up and concussed again. Another reason why I cringed is because the Dolphins look absolutely horrid to start the season.

"Beyond the Gates" Week 27 & 28 Review
The month of September has been a wild one for sure. I myself have been focused on the incoming NFL season and the chaos of the final month of baseball, but Beyond the Gates remained in my mind, especially since August ended with Chelsea held captive by psycho Allison. Of course, as I mentioned in the Week 26 recap, the month of September started off with yet another hiatus--September 1-5 were full of reruns. My goodness.

MLB Pennant Race 2025: 168 Hours
March 18, 2025. My 4oth birthday. It was also when the 2025 Major League Baseball regular season started with the first of the back-to-back games in Japan. Here it is, just over six months later, and we baseball fans are preparing for the end. We now have just one week, seven short days left in this insane season. A week isn't a lot of time, but in that little time, the rest of the postseason picture will be filled in. And this season, there's still quite a lot to figure out.

Explaining My Thoughts and Concerns for the Upcoming 51st Season of "Saturday Night Live"
I've known about Saturday Night Live since I was a kid, and it wasn't until my early teens that I started watching on NBC. By then, the known core group wasn't there anymore. People like Adam Sandler, David Spade, and Chris Rock were out of there and doing other things. On a sad note, SNL legends like Chris Farley and Phil Hartman left this world; the latter in the near end of 1997 and the former just five months later.

CFL Week 15 Recap: The Home Stretch Begins
See that beautiful baby? That, folks, is the Grey Cup (Coupe Grey in French). That's the trophy that nine teams playing across Canada are vying to capture. After 14 weeks, the 2025 CFL season is down to the final one-third of the season, the final seven weeks. It's amazing how symmetrical the CFL season is. Similar to how the NFL season could easily be divided into three six-week increments, the CFL season can be split into three seven-week periods. Even more amazing is that each third has a holiday featured. The first block has Canada Day. The heart of the season has Labour Day, and the home stretch has Canadian Thanksgiving.

Simpsons Review: "Who Shot Mr. Burns?"
Doesn't seem like it's been 30 years, hasn't it? I remember this like it was yesterday. So the episode starts off... somewhat innocently. The class hamster, named Superdude, sadly passes on. Groundskeeper Willie buries the hamster, while venting about his father's burial, but all of a sudden, Willie inadvertently digs up some gold. Black gold. Texas tea.

A Deep Look at "Hogan's Heroes"
I had actually been sitting on any stories about this for a long while. I had patiently waited for the right time to discuss this classic sitcom, and then, I finally decided bout a month or so ago, I decided that the perfect time would be the anniversary of the show's premiere. The 60th anniversary, to be exact.

NFL Week 2 Recap: Second Verse, Same as First
A tide is turning, folks. The overall main event of the second week of the 2025 season was the anticipated meeting between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. For the Chiefs, this was not only their first game of the year on American soil, this was their home opener--against the team who clobbered them in Super Bowl LIX seven months prior. This was so heavily hyped; it was nationally televised--the lone game on the 4:25PM Eastern time slot. This was also the Chiefs' chance to tell the NFL world that the rumors of their demise were greatly exaggerated.

MLB Pennant Race 2025: The Switch
You know, for all of the complaints about how long baseball season is, it really goes by in a flash. It seems like yesterday that we were all looking forward to Opening Day, but here it is, the middle of September. We have two weeks--14 measly days--remaining in the 2025 MLB season, and there's still quite a bit to decide. But we do have a few developments from this past week.

Game 163, We Hardly Knew (and Saw) Ye
We're in the month of September, which is the pivotal final month of MLB's regular season. So with that, I think it's time that I finally do what I had planned on doing for a few years now. This story is a long overdue elegy of an underseen, underrated, yet amazing attribute to the sport of baseball: the tiebreaker.

CFL Week 14 Recap: Getting Down to Business
The week after Labour Day Weekend in the CFL is always interesting. For one, that week sees some of the rivalry matches from that previous week take place again, this time with the home field switching. Secondly, and more importantly, it marks the conclusion of the heart of the schedule, the middle seven weeks of the season, meaning that there's just seven weeks remaining after that aftermath week.

NFL Week 1 Recap: Overreactions and Underperformances
There are 52 (or 53, depending on the calendar) Sundays in the entire year. Since 2021, we hold a special place for 18 of these Sundays. The first of these Sundays came and went, and featured a baker's dozen of NFL games--13 of the 16 games that kicked off the NFL's 106th season. So let't get this first full week recap started, shall we? Let's start with, oh, I don't know... Lions/Packers. Big NFC North battle, had it circled on my mental calendar the moment the schedule was released, very important to both teams.
