Old hag comes to rest Upon my chest…..night’s terror Ensues with each breath

In death’s dark mirror Stands a hollow, ugly shell Oh God! Is it me?
Demons of past sins Whisper in the dark of night Chanting, “Hell is near”
Muted colors float across the land, Dance along the hillside, looming 'neath Winter’s creeping frost laden dew.
Spring’s gleam of overwhelming light Completes the creeping birth of dawn, Sates fleeting winter's looming flight Through obscured shades of beauty’s brawn.
Life’s lantern illuminated my path In visuals of dancing cherry blossoms, Swaying to the rhythm of the silent wind Amid alternating waves of turmoil and glee.
Unholy wraiths howl Whisper odious urgings Snare my murky soul
The stench of carcass 'Midst the dead flowers and weeds Lays bare our foul deeds

Melancholic haze of autumn’s ache whispers, Beckons surging waves upon the ocean’s crest Creating a dark mask of telling foreshadowing,
You left quite unexpectedly on a chilly, winter's day, As raindrops fell outside against my window pane, Your absence was keenly met by a deep-seated pain,
Redolent, bright leaves Cascade in sprightly colors Sating autumn’s need
It is a memory from the rafters of days long gone. It holds no dearness of heart or sweet song, But brings a taste most vile when it surfaces.
