Caged and Framed: Part Two
James took the first bus to Aunt Heather's house. It was almost like walking into another world. Where people were once crammed in for a place to sit, cartridges stood and sat two meters apart from each other, and all of them wore facemasks. It was a different world he was used to. He knew everything would be different from the white walls and bars, but nothing like what he saw.

My Advice After 500 Vocal Stories. Top Story - April 2021.
This has been four years in the making. When I first joined Vocal in 2017, I didn’t really have an idea how many posts I would make. I wasn’t even sure if I was going to stay on Vocal. I kept having my stories rejected for ‘low quality’ pictures that weren’t the right size, broken links, under 600 words, spelling and grammar and their personal favourite; vocal does not accept religious content. The only work I’ve not been able to publish was a poem was was an open letter to God. Just the mere fact that I’ve mentioned those words is enough to my work to be rejected. I’ve seen it happen to others and it happened to me lots of times. Other than that, I’ve had no problems uploading my writing on Vocal.

I’m One Away From 500 Posts
So I just realised, once my 3 other stories have been approved that I am just 1 story away from reaching my big milestone with this website: my 500th story. Fingertips shaking, but not hitting the keyboards, I have a little black sheep plushie staring at me and smiling at me. I notice her little nose is shaped as a heart. It’s a plushie I ordered from Etsy, and I think it’s one of my favourite purchases ever. I have lots of plushies, but this one has a special place in my heart because I know it wasn’t made in a factory. It was handmade in somebody’s home and made with love, care and great attention to detail. She may be a black sheep, but this shiny wooloo plushie is really bringing life into the room already. Since not everyone is familiar with pokemon, I think I will refer to Wooloo as Muffy from now on as that is my nickname for her.

Sushi with Zushi
I remember a time when there were no Japanese restaurants in my area other than YoSushi in Oxford. I also went to Birmingham to go to the many awesome Japanese restaurants there. Times have changed and now that anime is a lot more mainstream than it was when I was younger, Japanese culture has sneaked into Britain. Zushi is the only Japanese restaurant in Banbury, and I’ve been here so many times that they know my order well. I will take friends and family with me.
