Healing Cycle
This is a short story I originally wrote in Wattpad for their fundraising partnership my Maybelline for mental health awareness month. The requirements on Wattpad are for it to be under 500 words. Vocal’s requirements are to be over 600 words. So there’s a few changes. You can find the original version on Wattpad. My username there is Chloboshoka.

The adoption agency said no
After an interview with an adoption agency last week, I got a phone call to say that they’re not taking me on. They made it sound so hopeful over the telephone. And they’re still advertising even though they say they have more adoptees than children to adopt. Something dosen’t add up.

The 10 Commandments - The Rockstar’s Guide To Life
I picked this book up at HMV today. The title bought me in, along with the rockstars on the cover. The discount sticker helped too. For those who don’t know the Q magazine is a prestigious music magazine in the UK. I remember it had it‘s own music channel at one point, don’t know if it’s still airing, as I don’t watch much telly nowadays. Editor, Ted calls Q the greatest music magazine in the UK. I have a feeling that he really wanted to write Q is the best music magazine in the world.

My Teenage Soundtrack
The most frustrating times of my life Unlike many teen movies, I would not call my teen years glamorous. In fact, I would say the opposite. I didn’t really enjoy school. It was a time where I was lead to believe that we all had to feel the same and be the same and if you didn’t fit into a certain stereotype or trope, And you get caught in gossip and stress from schoolwork. Teenage Angst by Placebo is the first song that came to my head when I saw this Vocal Challange.

Mary Queen of Scots (2018)
This has been a film I wanted to see for age. The trailer looked spectacular and the cast looked great. The Tudor and Stuart dynasty are the most talked about subjects in British history, and Mary Queen of Scots and Elisabeth I were two of the strongest female figures of their time. Mary was beheaded on Elizabeth‘s orders in 1587. In this telling of the tragic Queen Mary, she seeks sisterhood with her cousin, Elizabeth I (they’re technically first-cousins-once-removed), but much easier and more respectful to call each other cousins.

Shrek is a GREAT movie
Last night, I opened Netflix on my kindle. Scrolling through the list of shows and films to watch, I became dizzy and overwhelmed by the mass choice out there until I saw Shrek. I saw it at the cinema and saw it so many times on tape that I wore it out. It was one of my favourite movies as a kid and I thought it was hilarious when I saw it at the cinema nearly 20 years ago. To this day, I still think it’s one of the best romantic comedy’s ever made, this is coming from somebody who dosen’t like the genre much because of the repetitive formula.

25 Things I do to reduce my carbon footprint
Climate change is serious Climate Change is going to destroy the world if we do not make changes now, it’s going to make devastating consequences on not just humanity, but for the entire universe. The Earth will no longer become the wonderful planet of nature it once was.

Maygest’s Tale by C.E Cannery
I’ve been reviewing books in the order that I receive them from authors. As a self-published author myself, I know how had it is to get reviews for your books and I enjoy writing book reviews so I have been offering free book reviews to authors on Goodreads. One book, I’ve been really excited to read is Maygest’s Tale by C.E Cannery. A lot of books I’ve received have fallen into the fantasy genre, and I have wanted to read more fantasy books after enjoying Return of The King on Audible.

25 ways to get free books
Reading books is one of the greatest hobbies one can have. You can be entertained by fiction, touched by poetry and learn about the world. Sadly, they’re not always cheap, but there are many ways to get free books via paperback, e-book and also audiobook. They may be different mediums, but the enjoyment can be equally fulfilling. This list will give you 25 ways where you can get free books. By free, I’m talking about books where money is not used, so I haven’t counted things like Audible credits, bargain deals like 3 for 2 or 5 for fiver. I also won’t mention piracy sites, but you are free to use them at your own risk.

Desperate Times by Hildred Billings
What’s this book about? Desperate Times is a lesbian romance novel featuring two butches: Tess and Sidney. River Rock is a small town and Tess and Sidney find it hard being the only lesbians in the area. They meet on a dating app, but it does not go well as they look nothing like they do on their profile pictures. It’s almost like a catfish episode without Dev and his team. Despite the bad first date they try to be friends with benefits and like many stories before, it blossoms into romance.
