Cremated ashes and how to transfer them to an urn
ouAt 11:30 last night, a family friend called me and asked an interesting question. I had told him that my sister in law had ordered an urn for my husband's cremated remains so he wanted to know how I would get the ashes from the box that now holds them into the urn. I had not really thought about it but I told him I supposed I would simply pour them in. His next question was if I were supposed to contact the funeral home to take care of this and I said I had assumed my business with them was concluded once they presented the box of ashes to me.

Sean Blakemore returns to 'General Hospital'
On General Hospital, Shawn Butler has been languishing away in Pentonville prison for a crime he did not commit. He was arrested and convicted of the attempted murder of Hayden Barnes when Nikolas Cassadine is the real culprit. It looked to viewers as if he was locked up and they threw the key away on the character. His former boss Sonny is presumed to be dead and Carly could use her good friend right now. Fans of the character have been saying for the past 6 years that Shawn needs justice because he was innocent.

The day my panties were exposed
This Vocal challenge is bringing memories back to me that I had not thought about in decades. I have yet another embarrassing moment I experienced in high school. I was in the 9th grade and it took place in gym class one morning. A few weeks prior my grandmother had purchased me 5 pairs of lace panties in different colors that resembled fishnet stockings. One day I was looking at the green pair and the yellow pair and admiring the vibrant colors. I placed them together and thought they were a beautiful combination and I got an idea.

The recurring death. Top Story - April 2021.
The death of any loved one is difficult and healing can be hindered by simply taking care of business. I vaguely experienced this with my mother and my grandmother but it's almost unbearable now that my husband has died. We spent 45 years together which is 5 years shy of being half a century. He has only been gone about 3 weeks but it feels like an eternity. Each time I believe I am having a good day something happens that causes me to feel as if he has just died all over again. It feels like smooth sailing and then waves crashing down over and over again taking my breath away before they subside.

Where's lunch being served?
I am living and I am learning especially when it comes to reactions to death. I am also embracing my many moods and writing articles accordingly. Thanks to Vocal's hundreds of categories to choose from, I can come up with a story based on practically anything. Today I am finding humor related to the way some people frequent funerals looking for a good meal. As a child, all the funerals I attended were held at the local Baptist church. After the deceased was buried in his or her grave, everyone went back to the family home to eat.

Serena and Jeannie II all you need to know
Bewitched and I dream of Jeannie were 2 of the most popular television programs during the 1960’s. Each show was about a woman who was different because she was not mortal but was in love with a human. Bewitched ran from 1964 until 1974 on ABC while I Dream of Jeannie was on ABC from 1965 until 1970. Both main characters Jeannie and Samantha had look alike relatives who often wreaked havoc on their lives. Let’s take a closer look at these mischievous women.

Eric Braeden retirement rumors gain steam
For those who did not get the first, second, or third memos let me state for the record. Neither Eric Braden nor Victor Newman plan on retiring. The soap veteran of 41 years has stated in person as well as in his memoir, "I'll Be Damned" that if you retire you die. For whatever reason fans of The Young and the Restless keep pushing the rumor that the end is near for Victor Newman and his portrayer. Only one week ago Braeden reiterated his position to Soap O0pera Digest and it was repeated in People.com.

Mama cat chose to adopt me
I guess I would have been called the cat lady back in the day because I once owned 14 of them at one time. They were not in my house but lived outside. Over a period of time I would say I probably owned at least 24 cats. My story today took place when I was 14 years old so I have no original pictures. The cover photo, however, is an almost exact replica of my "Mama cat," If you have read any of my recent pet stories then part of this tale will be familiar.
