My Review of "Peanutbutter Falcon"
Peanutbutter Falcon is the surprise hit of the year for me so far. I did not expect it to be as great of a movie as it was. It was movie that I have heard of before but didn't think much of it. when I saw the trailers. I recently subscribed to the Canadian streaming source called Crave and they had it available for streaming. I'm extremely happy that I gave this movie a chance because it just gave me such a smile throughout the movie.

My Review of "Shaft (2019)"
Quite honestly, I was looking forward to seeing Shaft (2019) in theaters but I never got the chance. The trailers did a good job in getting me hyped up over it. The problem was that it kind of bombed in the box office so it didn't stay long in theaters and it didn't get good reviews. Still I thought it looked like an interesting title. It's recently been added to the Crave list of movies to stream and I dived in. I'm really happy that I did too.

My Review of "That Awkward Moment"
That Awkward Moment is a movie that came out back in 2014 with some growing stars behind it. They had Zac Efron, Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller. It's sort of color by numbers movie but it's still enjoyable to watch. Then again today we have so much time to kill so that's not necessarily a bad thing.

My Review of "A Futile and Stupid Gesture"
A Futile and Stupid Gesture is a very interesting movie based on the life of Doug Kenney. For those that don't know who Doug Kenney is, don't worry I didn't even know either. It's in fact probably better that you don't know who he is before you go watch it. When I went through this movie I was hit with twists and turns that I didn't expect because I didn't know about Doug. I'm sure this movie is even more entertaining if you knew who he was prior to watching this movie.

My Review of "La vie scolaire - School Life"
La vie scholaire or School Life kept on popping up on my Netflix suggestions. I was a big fan of another French film called Bad Seeds which had a similar story direction so I decided to take the plunge. This movie is far from similar to Bad Seeds. It's a more realistic and grittier approach than Bad Seeds. You'll have admiration for some of the characters whereas others you won't for different reasons.

My Review of "Jusqu'au déclin - The Decline"
The Decline was an unexpected surprise movie for me. I didn't know it even existed until I saw some YouTube top 10 videos. I've noticed how often this movie placed high on everyone's list. Even better, it turned out to be a French Canadian film. I rarely check out French Canadian films even though I'm from Canada but this movie made me reconsider my selection in movies. It was that good.

My Review of "The Healer"
The Healer is a movie about believing in a higher being. I have to choose my words correctly to describe this movie but this movie does put out interesting ideas and guess what we would do in the same situation. It's a mediocre movie that a lot can enjoy.

My Review of "They'll Love Me When I'm Dead"
They'll Love Me When I'm Dead is an interesting concept that sometimes makes my mind spin. I've heard of this documentary but never watched it until now. It's a Netflix exclusive that I totally forgot about until I started burning through my list of movies to watch.

My Review of "Dune (1984)"
Dune has showed up on my Netflix suggestions so many times that I gave in and watched it. I was in for a heck of a show. It was confusing, mesmerizing, captivating, and it took me a little while to process what I just watched by the end of the movie. I have to remember that this movie had come out in 1984 so I can't really judge it to the levels of special effects we have today.

My Review of "Evolution"
Evolution is a product of the time that it was made. There are a few jokes and trends in this movie that I don't think kids nowadays would understand. I have heard of this movie when it first came out but never got around to seeing it until now. It's a pretty cookie cutter comedy of the early 2000s so it's a nice walk down memory lane for me.

My Review of "Chronicle"
Back in 2012 the YouTube movement was just starting to really skyrocket and people were making vlogs. So Hollywood producers decided to green-light Chronicle as it's premise derives of a kid videotaping his daily life. Today this isn't such a weird idea but back in 2012 kids were still working with camcorders that were as big as a brick. It wasn't as practical as it is with cell phones. In a way this movie was ahead of it's time.
