The Art Of Man

Introduction

You may think this should be in the beat community, but this is about a superb example af album artwork by the Welsh group Man. Coincidentally, I have also discovered several Welsh poetry forms and shared some Welsh folk music.

The Art Of Man

This was the first album cover of Man that I was aware of and the first song that I heard of theirs was the excellent "Daughter Of The Fireplace" from the above album that you can hear here.

The video above features the cover of "Keep On Crinting" a compilation that refers to the map that inspired this Art story.

Even the actual vinyl paper sleeve has been decorated with information about the band.

This is Man's "Family Jungle"

And this is some info about the album, all handwritten by band members I assume.

The real thing that inspired this was Man's Map of Wales which you can see in the main image and in the video.
