How The Pirates Of The Caribbean Really Happened
Gore Verbinski And Johnny Depp Read A Book And Made A Film. This is for the Vocal "Painted Prose" Challenge

Introduction
The film "Pirates of the Caribbean" was directed and produced by Gore Verbinski and starred Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow (the look influenced by Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones). I love the film and the "Rogues Gallery" albums that the two came up with as an accompaniment to the films.
This is an imaginary chat fiction between Verbinski and Depp on how this came about after they same the picture in Gay Peellaert's "Rock Dreams" with is the painting that this is all about.
I Have An Idea
Verbinski: "Do you know Guy Peellaert Johnny?"
Depp: "Who?"
Verbinski: "He's an artist who did this book, 'Rock Dreams' about music icons in the seventies, and have you seen this one of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards?"
Depp: "No, I don't know who Guy Peellaert is and I don't know and have never seen the book, but show me"
Verbinski: "This is it"

Verbinski: "I think you have a look of Keith Richards, or is it Keith Richard, I can never remember"
Depp: "You think I look like a pirate, I suppose comparing me to Keef is a sort of compliment, he is immortal after all"
Verbinski: "Tim Powers wrote a story called 'On Stranger Tides' I think we could get someone like Ted Eliot or Terry Rossio to adapt it with you as the main pirate looking like Keith Richards in that picture. Of course, it will be mad as anything and we can get Bruckheimer to produce it and I'll direct"
Depp: "Who else can we get, so do I get a ship and rum? What will it be called?"
Verbinski: "Well a lot of the most famous pirates often had home ports that were sort of free from English or American influence. So many islands, including Trinidad, Tobago, Barbados, Haiti and Jamaica. The Bermuda Triangle, Sargasso Sea and Voodoo, that's a of things in the mix. Pirates of the Caribbean sounds perfect I think"
Depp: "I can go with Pirates of The Caribbean, and rum, and pirate songs as well, and pieces of eight"
Verbinski: "Hmmm just had another idea, we need some baddies, maybe the English Royal Navy, a love interest and maybe some kind of supernatural villain, maybe we can tempt Geoffrey Rush"
Depp: "I like the ship in that picture, a tall sailing ship flying the Jolly Roger. Do you know where the term Jolly Roger came from? Apparent the pirate flag used to be red and the French called it the Jolie Rouge but you know the English they are great at corrupting names. The Elephant And Castle in London is a corruption of the Infanta of Castille who married some medieval English king"
Verbinski: "I really think this is a goer. And when you mentioned songs we could get some famous people together to sing Pirate Songs. I don't think anyone would expect that I can think of a few who would probably love to be involved. Nick Cave and Loudon Wainwright III both have a wicked sense of humour. Loudon wrote a song called "Rufus Is A Tit Man" and Rufus is gay, I think that is hilarious."
Depp: "So the film is going to be Pirates of the Caribbean, do we use that for the album?"
Verbinski: "No we want something different but still piratey, what do you think of "Rogues Gallery"
Depp: "So we have the names, now I need some rum"
Verbinski: "OK Johnny let's get to work, we have phone calls to make"

Love "Pirates of the Carribean" & Johnny Depp. Heard of someone who went to a video store once upon a time looking for the movie & picked up "Pirates" by mistake, the R version, not the X.
That was fun. Well done, Mike.
Lol, this was so fun and creative!
