Art For Art's Sake
Some Wonderful Artists I Know

Introduction
I was just thinking of all the artists I know, as well as writers, and though none of them are nationally famous, thanks to being able to share pieces like this on Vocal I can give a little shout-out to them. This will be mainly visual artists.
I shared this about some great comedians a few years back and they are still going strong.
John Coatsworth
He is an artist I don't personally know, but his artwork never fails to amaze me.
Bob Armstrong
Bob is an amazing landscape artist. I used to do his website but he now has full control of that (I don't really like doing websites). Check out his Facebook page to see more of his excellent work.
Emily Ward
Emily is a Facebook friend and as well as artwork, she produces lots of related things, again check out her Facebook page for examples of her work.
Bridget Wilkinson
Bridget produces some amazing mainly marine-based art, and is based on the North East coast.
Emma Stothard
Emma Stothard is responsible for some amazing wire net sculptures and in the story above you can see her Heritage Trail in Whitby.
Jordan Reyne
Jordan is first of all an amazing musician. When I first saw her I was so impressed that I bought three of her CDs and she is one of the few artists from whom I automatically buy their new releases without question.
She is also an amazing artist as well as you can see.
Angie Livingstone
Angie is a stunning artist and has inspired me to write stories and poetry based on her creations. Here is one of them:
Anna Cross
Anna Cross creates some amazing willow sculptures and every year I visit her "Huntress Of Skipton Castle Woods" which I wrote about here.
Rebecca Cother
Rebecca produces some both cute and impressive paintings. I also created the above video of some of her artwork.
Chris Morton
Chris Morton is one of my more famous friends. He is responsible for many iconic record covers from the late 1970's onwards.
Mick and Aly Smith
Mick and Aly produce some amazing sculptures, artwork and writing and Mick's creations have inspired pieces from me like this, his exhibition with Michelle Goulder:
Conclusion
These are some of the artists that I have connections with and they give us some amazing works.
I know I have missed many, but I hope that you visit a few of these and check out their work.

I remember Jordan Reyne! I really love one of her songs but I forgot the title. Ferryman if I'm not mistaken
A nice introduction to some taltened artists that made me a bit nostalgic for the group I used to manage. Some intersting parallels here, too. I still manage the websites for a few artists, but the number was around 40 a few years ago. The first of those is now one of my oldest friends and still ives in Wyoming, where her work is featured at the Grand Teton and Yellowstone Parks. A great read, Mike, and I'll be catching up on the pieces I haven't yet read.
Beautiful roundup! Each artist is special and so good to see such a lovely group of real human people, doing their best to inspire through what they love most. Thanks for sharing!
You have a lot of references to fall back on when you need inspiration for your work. Liked learning about new and old artists and their works.
Great piece! I'm so happy to learn about these artists. :)
